NBA 2008-09 Season

When the votes are counted D. Wade will be third in the count. Sorry, but it's going to happen. You can't overlook the Cavalier's and Laker's records this season. BTW, hell of a performance by Mr. Wade last night. He is a very talented player, no doubt, but his team is a long way down the standings, as is everybody else in Cleveland's division.

My point is...after last season disasterous season of only 15 wins...the last thing ANYONE thought was a possible playoff spot. THAT is due to Wade. IF Cleveland AND LA not had their star player....they would have a chance of making the playoffs.....the Heat, might have a difficult time duplicating last year's 15 win TOTAL.

ANYTHING Lebron does now will be over sensationalized. He is was just as good last year, but this year with a better personel in the Cavs roster....not to mention everyone's darling to win the East because everyone assumed the Celtics got weaker after last years championship when they lost a couple of bench players.

...similar to the Jordan years after he came back from his suspen....ah...1st retirement.:D

...ok...flood of responses in 5...4....3....2....1......

What's that you always say? Woulda, coulda, shoulda, .... If your Aunt had balls, she would be your uncle....etc.....

I'm not discounting what your guy has done this season, but wasn't the 15 win season accomplished on the fact that Wade wasn't there? Now let me throw some gas on the fire. The Heat haven't been too competitive since Shaq was traded either. Wade's teammates this season aren't exactly chopped liver either. No one player carries a team completely, no matter what his name is. Wade is no exception.

Don't discount the role of the Heat's new rookies are playing in the turnaround either. Beasley and Chalmers have had an impact in making this team better too.

Please don't make me break out my LeBron for MVP post where I broke down his HISTORIC season that he's currently having......

Ok, that's it. You made me do it.

Read the below post again. This is at least the 3rd time I referenced this post this year whenever someone spouts off about D-Wade or someone else for MVP instead of LeBron. You have to realize that after breaking down the stats, LeBron is having a better season than Jordan did in his epic 1987-1988 season which is considered by many as the best ever!!!

Read up son. You've got much to lean...

And this hypothetical statement in "taking away D-Wade and the Heat won't even make the playoffs" is horse sh*t!

But since you brought up hypotheticals, replace D-Wade with Kobe or LeBron and the Heat now become an even better team than they are with Wade! Do you get what I'm saying man?! Wade is good, but he aint LeBron and Kobe good.

Right now, we have Tarance Kinsey starting at shooting guard and Ben Wallace at power forward! Give me 2 other teams in the NBA where those two make a starting roster! Don't make it seem like the Cavs are just busting with all sorts of talent and what LeBron is doing is the result of him being on a "better team." Accept the fact that LeBron is the better player and as a result, he makes the others around him better also!

Wade missed the last 30 games of the season. He was there for 52 games....AND Shaq was there for about half of last season. IF you think that Wade is not carry this team....you really haven't seen to many Heat games.

Just break down the TEAM and the talent they have this year. TAKE him away from this team..and I know this team makes the playoffs. Break down the current Heat team....and you tell me who makes the playoffs and who doesn't.

SON....this has NOTHING to do with Lebron and MORE with the team he plays for.
Those numbers are wonderful and nice....he is have a great season....but again, take him away from the current Cavs and do they make the playoffs??

WHY is it a "horse sh*t" argument??!! Because it makes too much sense? We are not talking about moving players around...if there ever was a horsecrap argument it's that....take them away....PERIOD.....take them away and compare rosters...that is all you have to do.

And this is not about being a better player....I just think THIS YEAR, Wade is the MVP. Just because you are MVP does not make you the best player in the league. So don't get your panties in a knot.....

Ironic you say that, because you still followed the team before and after that retirement.

I was part of the crew that COVERED the Bulls from 1990 till 1997. I thought everything Jordan did after he came back was overhyped, the good and ESPECIALLY the bad...and I LOVE that guy! To me, he will forever be the greatest basketball player EVER to lace up a pair of sneakers.

Smack talk between Salsa and HD?

I can't WAIT for the Browns/Raiders game!

I don't smack talk about games Sabres....really I don't. I have no bearing on the outcome. IF there was something I could do to help any of my teams win, I would place a little wager or two:D ....but when you are JUST a spectator....it's pretty pointless to bet in my opinion.

Matt, Salsa's bitching, and his team is winning. :D

He's never going to be happy. And he call's you a "homer".;)

There is no bigger HOMER than Mat....but good for him. He is passionate....blindly passionate sometimes....but when that city has not won much of anything....can you really blame him? Could you blame ANYONE?

Let me get this straight...

With Wade, the Heat sneak into the playoffs.
Without Wade, the Heat are a lottery team.

With LeBron, the Cavs are challenging for the NBA Championship.
Without LeBron, the Cavs may or may not back into the playoffs.

Good argument on rewarding Wade for your team "not sucking".

I think you should heed your own advice about panties and check your depends. That's probably the place you'll find the smelly excrement your spewing.:rolleyes::mad:

This from someone who is calling for D-Wade for MVP. Gimme a break.

In years past, I didn't campaign as hard for LeBron as I did this year. Nice try though. Just because the MVP of the league happens to be playing in Cleveland, doesn't make me a homer.

You do not read but knee jerk ....in 3 seperate POST...THREE...I state they are a good enough team to make the playoffs...they have that much talent. The same applies to the Lakers...those teams are that good. The Heat neither has the depth nor the talent to compete with those teams if Wade, Lebron and Kobe are removed from their respective roster....NO WHERE CLOSE. The HEAT as a whole, do not suck....but they sure as hell are not in the same calibur as the Lakers OR the Cavs roster.

...THAT is why you get your thong all twisted in a knot...the moment ANYONE says ANYTHING remotely close to not agreeing that Lebron is not the greatest player in the history of the game....that silk wine and gold one you wear gets all twisted up....

...I won't answer your last line....
