No you said we never see him play a single game.
Yep. In reference to many of those voting, not you specifically. At the sane time, to judge him on only three games is also not a very good indication on how he has done on the whole.
Yeah he hit against the Pirates but he only scored once and no RBIs or HRs.
Considering he is batting in the top of the lineup, he isn't going to have many RBI opportunities. Yet, playing 1/3 of the games as McCutchen, he has only one fewer HRs than him.
YOU are making him out to be the greatest player since Drysdale. I don't post everyday how great the Pirates or any player is.
Making stuff up and telling yourself it is true doesn't make it so. I don't post about him every game, I certainly don't post every AB, just as I never said he was the best anything, particularly better than Drysdale.
I praised how good of a start he has gotten off to, one of the best in history. This is a fact like it or not.
I praised how he has brought life to the team and helped turn them around. This is a fact whether you agree with it or not.
I praised some highlight plays in which he had single game performances that were among the best in Dodger history and very exciting to watch.
I gave credit to the players on the team who have admitted he helped them. This too is a fact.
One can judge him all they want based only 3 games or no games, or what they read in the press. One can dislike him all they want. One can dislike him even more because some stranger on a forum post some things that deserves recognition, or says something on the radio, or reads something about what an opposing player thinks. I don't care. Doing so speaks more of that person judging based on those criteria than Puig himself.
The team as a whole is exciting to watch now. They have improved more than any team in baseball during this time. As a fan I am excited to watch them. I will continue to post about the achievements of my team and how excited I am about it.
