MLB 2013 Season

I looked at the standings for the 1st time this year and HERE is the thing that stood out the most:

Miami Marlin 7-19
Toronto Blue Jays 9-17

WOW!!

Almost making Loria's SUPPOSED reason for trading all those players to Toronto......*GULP* ...legit:eek::eek:

OK, I feel like I just threw up in my mouth and I need shower for feeling dirty saying what I just said.

I heard Harper does have a bit of an attitude problem. Hopefully, that will get rectified.

I'm at a loss for words about the Mets. Pathetic. There starting pitching and especially the bullpen is beyond awful. What a terrible bullpen and they cant either. Wright and Buck have done good but thats about it. I mean they are almost going to get swept by the Marlins. Collins is on a very short leash.

Kershaw pitches, yet another gem, and gets to win thanks to Carl Crawford hitting 2 solo HRs. The only two runs in the whole game.

Kershaw:
8 IP
12 Ks
0 BBs
4 hits

Give Kershaw credit. I believe his dad just passed away and he's still going to pitch Friday. Condolences go out to him.

Good Lord! What an awful and painful (literally as we lose 2 players!!!) 19 inning game this morning!!!! Another lost April for the Angels.

did see how late that Angels/A's last? 19 innings it when to about 6:30am ET 3:30am PT

I wish I could have seen that game on the east coast. That must have been kind of cool watching a game in the wee hours of the morning.

A quick look at the standings show the Red Sox (19-8) and the Yankees (tied with Texas and Atlanta at 17-10) with the best records in MLB.

Looks like the Knicks aren't the only ones that are into premature funerals. ;)

I know it's very early in the season, but it's interesting to see the AL East has so far shaped up the opposite of what many of the so-called 'experts' said...

Division titles are not played on paper but on the field. Boston and new York are making fools of those that said that they will both finish dead last in AL. It looks like a normal AL East baseball.

What's the rule of thumb of games airing streamed on iHeart/Tunein? Most but not all seem to not be streamed. however going through a team's radio network list I'd find the occasional live airing?

All MLB games are supposed to be blacked out on the stations' internet streams. You might get lucky and find one every now and then but your only real option is to pay for the MLB game day audio. It is $20 for the year or you can buy the At Bat app if you have a smartphone. The At Bat option will also give you a MLB.com account that you can log in with on PC or other devices to listen to live games. I believe that is also $20 for the season.

Way too early to say they were wrong .... they yankees could still end up there, or Boston, just because they are playing well now, doesn't mean they won't fall off, most teams can't keep playing at a high level all year.

It was way too early in pre season when the so called experts made their predictions. So far, it is a fools game. My comment did not imply a prediction that they will remain playing at the same high level but to reveal that in baseball teams are made in paper but playing the games. It is surprising to see no one has mentioned that despite having multiple players in the disabled list, the Yankees have managed to have a contending team only 2 games behind Boston with an impressive record so far. Look at Boston, no one in this thread gave them a chance to even be in the conversation. But yet everyone looked at the blue Jays in pre season and basically handed them the AL East title without playing one game. Yet the blue Jays find themselves in early troubles and they may not be able to sustain. The blue Jays and orioles broadcasters are accusing Buckhold of cheating because he is 6-0 with a and era little over 1! That Boston seems to have one of the best bullpen in AL East was not in any one expert opinion. I can go on and on but in a nutshell, baseball is about playing games and enduring a season full of injuries and whatever comes at you, the team that best does this collectively comes on top.

All the experts are going back to their botanica and look again at the crystal ball. If April proved anything was that the brujo they consulted with was not correct. :)

VERY IMPRESSED with you correct use of words "botanica" and "brujo"!!! NICE!

Dodgers aren't doing any better. At least the Dodgers can use injuries as an excuse.
