MLB 2013 Season

The Red Sox trade of Josh Reddick for Andrew Bailey last year was looking like Bagwell/Anderson II , but now, with Reddick hitting .108 and Bailey with 7 strikeouts and no runs in five appearances and Hanrahan off to a rocky start, all of a sudden that trade looks pretty good.

Reddick's beard is pretty cool, though.

I don't see the big deal, teams make up games all the time.

Yes, but the make up is usually the next time the team comes to town. With this much interleague play, there isn't a next time.

Gotta like what the Braves have done to this point. Justin Upton will not be able to keep up this pace and neither will Maholm. But, Freeman hasn't played much, McCann has been out, Venter's is out, Heywards hasn't hit a thing, and until yesterday B.J Upton was batting under .100. Yep, pretty happy fan right now.

tell that to the ballplayers who now lose a day off in the middle of summer.
Normally a postponed day the teams can make up rather easily as they will play each other again...but when you play a team one time this year its much harder to figure it out

Again interleague SUCKS!

All the years watching MLB, I never seen a 11am game before. Plenty of 12:05 and 1:05pm but never anything w/ an AM attached to it.
Just seems weird.

Cheers, K

After the first two weeks, I got the feeling that this group of Red Sox players was a likeable group. But it wasn't until after the unspeakable tragedy that happened in Boston yesterday did I realize what a great group they are.

Tonight the Sox take the field in Cleveland, with a city and region needing a diversion from the hell of the last two days. Ironically enough they're playing their first game against the beloved and classy Tito Francona- the man that led them to two World Series Championships. Win or lose, this Red Sox team is worthy of the great city they play in!

Also, kudos to the Yankees (always a first class organization) for playing the Sox theme song, "Sweet Caroline" tonight following the third inning to honor Boston.

Look out when they come back to town, Bill!!!!!

This Red Sox team looks good! I really have a better feeling about this season, than I did during the winter.

The Red Sox are tied for fourth in runs scored per game at 4.66. That number seems a little low by American League standards. They are seventh in batting and eighth in slugging.

Their offense could pick up when Ortiz returns and if Drew hits and if, who knows, Lavarnway becomes a major league hutter. He's hitting over .290 ion Tripoke A for the thurd year in a row.

They get paid a lot of money to play a game, they get all winter off. It's their job to play and make up games.

I would love to have their job and I wouldn't complain about making up a game.

I haven't heard of one player or team complaining about this or interleague games, well the only one I've heard complained is you.
