MLB 2013 Season

I think if any team in contention needs to be concerned right now it is the Pirates. They need to show the fans (and themselves) that this is not another year that had promise and faded away at the end. They need to get into the playoffs this postseason to save face. I wish them well and hope they do. It will be exciting to see them in the playoffs again.

The Rangers really need to get out of their slump. They have a chance this week against the A's.

They will have to go pretty far tonight to make it more exciting than it was yesterday. That was some wild ending!

Well you got your wish. Sort of.

No, that was just painful to watch last night. Kershaw's wheels just came off his bus and he fell flat. I was very impressed with the way the Reds smelled "blood in the water" and just went after it full-tilt. That part of it was impressive. I also thoroughly enjoyed watching the interaction between Bruce and Votto in the dugout. I never saw Joey so animated and "alive".

With only 19 games left, the Yanks have to win 3 of 4 from the Orioles and 12 of 15 of the rest of their games. I seriously doubt they can. They haven't been consistent all year, no reason to think they will now.

They're only one game over .500 in their own division (29-28)...
I was just about to post the same. They have the worse record vs their own division than any other division.

But, a lot of that is because they mostly played their own division early in the season when they are all injured and stinking it up. That was also the time when most of the other teams in the division had a winning record.

Clay Buchholz makes his long awaited return tonight in St. Pete, after 3 months on the DL.
