MLB 2012 Postseason

The wind couldn't hold that one up. Good job stealing 2nd by Berry and a nice line drive double to knock him in.

Was just looking at Martinez Career stats and with runners on base, hes VERY impressive.
Runners on, over .400
RISP .394
Scoring Position and 2 out .375

Taking a year off will not hurt these numbers, he's always been a very Professional hitter.
Look at it this way, he was able to take a year off of the wear and tear outside of his rehab to rejuvenate.

Hey I definitely won't be rooting against him. I want him to be as great as he was last year. I just hate to say goodbye to someone who has played so well in the postseason for us in the last 2 years.

Beltran SHOULD have been a Marlin BEFORE Reyes. He would have been cheaper, better for the line-up and would have taken care of an OF need. BUT...shoulda, woulda, coulda and if my aunt had ballz she'd be my uncle...

I think he would have been a good fit too but look at where Beltran is now. Hes in the NLCS so I dont think he made a bad choice.

Sounds like A-Hole has all but quit on the remainder of this season.

The part that is posted on here about what A-Rod's pick up lines were, are hiliarious. Living in CT., I get to hear Yankee fans everyday talk about him. It just seems like he never fit in with the Yankees, since day 1. And believe me, with the exception of 2009, the fact that he hasnt hit in the postseason hasn't helped him with the fans either.

I originally wanted the Tigers to sign Reyes, I still think it would have been a good move for them, solidifying the SS position and giving them an aggressive base runner and good bat.

To be honest, I dont think Reyes would fit in Detroit. As good as he is, sometimes he loses focus and doesnt concentrate when hes in the field or at the plate.

I doubt he's settle for a PH role.

I'm gonna love seeing Prince NEXT year with a .300+ hitter hitting behind him. VMART

Fwiw, Derwood hit .267 this season and .276 in the post season so far with 0 walks and 7 rbi and 7 K's

To be honest, we could really use a .300 bat in the 6 position to inject some life into the bottom half of the order.

I was thinking this sure feels like the AL Central Division thread...thanks for joining the conversation Mets. :hatsoff:

Everyone must be watching the debate. I've got it recorded to watch sometime later. No way I was gonna miss my Tigers for that though.

Tigers have something brewing here. We could see mini Miggy and the real Miggy back to back if things go right.

You know I had a funny feeling with Cabrera's whole at bat. Thats because the guy from third should have scored instead of being held at third.

Always nice to see the GOOD things NFL players do
