Just heard an interview of Joe Nathan on MLB Radio. Nathan said that the most important thing the lost by losing Hamilton, Napoli, and Young was Young's club house presence. He said he had the best attitude of any player he has ever played with and had a more positive impact of a team than any player he has ever been around. I have heard sports writers/commentators, and other players say the same of Young. He was outspoken about the way ownership treated him and others, but that never interfered with how he played and his positive attitude towards the game and his team.My thing with Michael Young is how he handled the last couple of position changes. Both times immediately he demanded the Rangers trade him. The last player that we had with an attitude like that was Mark Texiera when he played for us and publicly berated how bad the Rangers were. Before that A-Roid was doing the same before his trade.
