This was the main reason I JB my iPad. I put location faker on it, set up a location in another country, and am now able to watch any game, including the FOX Saturday games

Is this Free, or is there a Sub that goes with it ?

Also, not all of us have iPads or the such.

It was around $3 in the Cydia store. I use it on my iPhone and iPad. I am able to watch the game on either device or connect them to a monitor or TV and watch a mirrored display (the PQ is not that great on a TV though, so it is best watching it directly on the iPad).

Of course you do have to pay for the MLB.TV service to get the games in the first place

I had just posted the DH in the AL Central thread, but didn't include the times ....
So, once again we MISS ANOTHER Tigers game due to stupid blackout rules.
Saturday AND SUNDAY, just great .... thanks FOX AND ESPN AND MLB that signed to agree to these terms.
Hope the MONEY was good for you.

BTW, the MLB Network game is B.O., but the alt. channel has the Yanks and Mariners showing, at least here.

Looks like we get to MISS the Verlander Start, he'll probably throw another GEM and no one will see it. :(

Or , it will be like his last one and no one will WAN'T to see it ... :)

Fwiw, it's a game MANY may want to see, a Verlander vs Beckett matchup, thanks again B.O. participants.

What games to you plan to show us that will be a better amtch up ?

We get the quad-A matchup of Atlanta & Cincinnati. There will be six people in the stands. 4 pitcher strikeouts and a cure for insomnia. FU ESPN and MLB.

This is also TBS's fault, the Tigers wanted to play these at noon and 5pm so both games could be televised and Bud the douche, sided with TBS showing game 1 at 1:30pm.

ESPN Public relations # (860) 766-2000
MLB Public realations # (201) 520-6410

EDIT: @GordonEdes posted on twitter.

"NESN is attempting to have blackout lifted for Sunday night's game; we'll let you know where that stands as the day goes on"

REALLY ???

I bet that wouldn't be the case if Buds team was playing ....

Oh wait, no one watches Bud's team anyways.

I wonder if theres ANY chance of finding this game on the ALT ESPN channels .... they seem to NEVER use them, wonder how much bandwidth they are talking up just sitting there ?

This just in:
For those of you in the Detroit area,
The Tigers and Red Sox 2nd game of the DH featuring Verlander and Beckett WILL be shown on FSN Detroit, I believe they said 7 pm

I would imagine that NESN will also carry the game.

Yes they are!!! :up After "numerous" complaints to NESN, ESPN and MLB, ESPN has lifted the blackout.

This was a no-brainer of epic proportions. Here you have two baseball crazy towns AND a great pitching matchup, and they were ready to blackout the game??!!

Great way to take care of your fans MLB!

Expect a LONG night, very severe storms rolling thru the area, hopefully they will clear soon.

The Red Sox have moved Saturday's A's-Sox game from 7:00pm ET to 1:00pm ET, so fans can get home and watch Game 2 of the Bruins-Canucks game. It won't get blacked out for EI subs because Fox exclusivety this Saturday is 4-7 ET.

Are you SURE about this ?

I thought it had to start before 1 PM ? Maybe it's 1:05, Tigers got screwed that way earlier.

ESPN reporting that Dice-K's Red Sox career is done. He's apparently going to have Tommy John surgery....

I wish him well, but I can't say that I'll miss him. He did have some big wins during the '07 championship run, but GAWD was he painful to watch at times!

Are you sure?

He is under contract until the end of the 2012 season, he'll probably pitch next year.

Tommy John surgery usually requires a 12-18 month rehab time. See Stephen Strasburg for another recent example....

...was he painful to watch at times!

When he went 18-3 in 2007, he was the first pitcher in over 100 years to finish a season 15 games over .500 while walking an average of more than five runners per nine innings, so it wasn't hard to predict that his results in subsequent years would not be anywhere near that good.

Good for Wakefield, however. As I have remarked previoysly, the only chance he could possibly have to break Clemen's and Young's Red Sox career victory record would require a starter going down. Wakefield has had I think eight games over the last season and a half that he pitched well enough to win in but didn't get a decision. Even his most recent start, giving up four runs in six innings, while not technically qualifying as a "quality start" was good for a fifth starter and left his team tied and in a position to win until gas-man Papelbon let it get out of hand by surrendering a two run homer in the top of the ninth...

Before any Bostonians tout Jed Lowrie as an All-Star, please note that after hitting .368 in April, he hit only .261 in May and is presently hitting .167 in June.

Gas man Papelbon just blew a four run lead as well as his cool, working just 1/3 of an inning in the ninth before getting ejected. Fortunately, my designated pick as replacement closer, Bobby Jenks, struck out two to avert disaster... for now.

I don't understand why closers are brought in in non-save situations, other than tie games. It was shown on yesterday's post-game show that Papelbon's ERA in save situations is a little over 2. In non-saves, it's over 7. It's not just Pap; I've heard similar numbers for others....
