MLB 2011 Season

So far, Tim Wakefield has outpitched four of the five Red Sox starters...

I remember back when Joe Morgan was manager and the Red Sox blew out their rotation in the third game of the season. In that game, the starter got knocked out early and was relieved by the diesignated, fourth game starter, who was bombed and replaced by the disignated, fifth game starter. The Red Sox had to call up a minor leaguer from Triple A Pawtucket to start the fourth game of the season.

I find it amazing that this Red Sox team was seen as a juggernaut. They have the same starting five and spot starter that they had last year, and with Beltre and Martinez being replaced by Gonzales and Crawford, how much improved can their offense be, especially considering that Martinez's at bats now have to be taken by Saltalamacchia?

You Red Sox fans are getting a tiny taste of what it feels like to be a Pirates fan throughout most of the season. Remember how this feels before you laugh at us again.

I would never laugh at the Pirates. I'm would love to see them back in the playoffs again. I might laugh at some of the Uniform choices the Pirates made years ago but that's another story.

But didn't you hear, this is "the greatest team EVER"!! :o

At the very least, maybe they're the best 0-6 team ever, and after Sunday they can be the best 0-9 team ever..............

I expected Boston to have some trouble with Texas last week, since they are the reigning AL champs. But I never would have thought the Indians would sweep them.

That being said, it is a long season and there is still a lot of baseball to play.

Well the undefeated season is over for the Reds. ;)

Trivia question: What are the worst ERAs, ever, of any two startiing pitchers in a Yankees/Red Sox Game?

Phil Hughes: 0-1, 11.25 ERA

John Lackey: 0-1, 22.09 ERA
