MLB 2009 Season

Speaking of the All-Star Game- how many players on your team do you see playing in the Midsummer Classic?

(for example- how many Angels does KCK predict will be in there?)

For the Dodgers there probably will not be many. Even though the team is having a good year, many of their individual players are having below average years for them or they are not standing out as an All Star.

If I were to pick backup players from the Dodgers it would be Hudson, Blake, and/or Kemp.

Pitchers would be Billingsley and/or Broxton.

OK...(he said taking the bait)...why?
Wasn't trying to bait you...but since you asked... :p

It is not relevant to me if he is a Dem, a Rep, or a IND in this situation. No matter if I support his politics or not; no matter if I voted for him or not, I just think it has more to do with his own need to be liked. I do not think with all of the issues with the economy and foreign affairs that it is appropriate at this moment in time for the POTUS to do this. It is not a good political move on his part.

For the Red Sox, I see three or four..........with an outside possibility for five.

However, IMO, Bay is the only "lock".

Youkilis, Beckett, Wakefield (I'm rooting for him) and Papelbon all have a shot.

Good to see L.A. taking a liking to Casey Blake. We miss him in Cleveland. I always liked that bearded man. He plays the game the right way and is a great guy. Glad to see him having success in the NL.

I think Pedroia, also, than again this game and most fans mind set is all about offense and not the other things that go on to making a complete baseball player.

All Star selections

4 Tigers deserve to go, but I only see one going for sure.

Verlander, Jackson , Cabrera and Inge all deserve to be there.

Chances are, only Verlander goes.

edit: All Star selection (choices), should have it's own thread.
