MLB 2009 Season

Yes it was hyperbole on my part only to point out someones hypocrisy. (With Youk and Tek)

But there is no way someone is going to tell me that Utley is better than Pedroia. I watch them both almost every day, it is close but I will take Dustin.
Dustin is old school and I like his gritty play. His first few years have been good and one year has been really good (not MVP quality IMO, but good). I can honestly say that he is not even close to Utley in performance. If given the choice between these two at 2nd, I would guess that most managers would easily pick Utley. Utley has also been more consistent for much longer, as well as being a much more productive power hitter and a non power position.

I am NOT an Utley fan by no stretch of the imagination....being a Marlins fan. But Utley is a far better all around player than Dustin....and Dustin and Lowel are the ONLY guys I like on the Red Sox. IF your were to go JUST by the numbers and compare the twos MVP season stats....it is day and night.

On Father's Day to boot!

If anyone is at all interested, the match-up is TOMORROW night not Sunday. I'm glad cause if it were Sunday we would not get to hear the great Scully weave (no pun intended) his magic on this one!

FYI, their parents are rooting for a scoreless 7-8 innings and let the bullpens duke it out! :D

Dream Weaver tomorrow night. Saunders dealing tonight. Wish I was at the game.... Can anyone say....WORLD SERIES PREVIEW??? HEHEHEHEHEHEHE

I can say that both teams are playing some awesome D. Three spectacular plays thus far (2 by the Dodgers and 1 by the Angels)

Boy, THAT was a game! Did you hear the fans battling back and forth??Ok round one goes to us....Tomorrow is the highlight for the fans of both teams in my opinion...simply because of it's historical nature. The links between these two teams should make it hard for any fan of either to hate the other.

Round two goes to Weaver.....JEFF Weaver to the utter shock, amazement and disappointment of every Angel fan in the country....Who is this Jeff Weaver? Certainly not the guy who used to pitch for us?

He pitched good for the Dodgers the first time he was with them. He pitched good for LAD and Detroit, but less than desirable with NYY and LAA. He is only a spot starter and long reliever for the Dodgers now, but has performed well so far this year.

GREAT weekend series!! Marlins take 2 outta 3 from the Yankees with GREAT crowds!! The average 40,000 for the series. I HATE the stadium they Marlins play in!! Saturday's game had 46,000+ and the stadium looked about 1/3 empty. Only 2 sections were not sold out.

First time since the 2003 World Series.

Technically, it's Marlins 5, Yankees 3.
