MLB 2009 Season

Dodgers Interested in Cliff Lee

Uh oh.......

According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Los Angeles Dodgers are discussing the possibility of trading for Indians pitcher Cliff Lee-

The Dodgers like Cliff Lee. They have discussed him internally. But their chances of meeting the Indians’ price for the ace left-hander are slim, according to major-league sources. The only way the Indians will trade Lee, sources say, is if they are offered a potential top-of-the-rotation starter at the level of the Braves’ Tommy Hanson or Red Sox’s Clay Buchholz.

What a shocking roller coaster ride....1st, the Marlins start the season 11-1 and everyone's darling. Then they have some injuries here and there, some weaknesses exposed and go into an ugly funk where their won-loss record plunges to 6 games UNDER .500. NOW, after winning their 5th straight game....they are one 1 game back of the front running World Champs, Philadelphia Phillies....

.....what an amazing turnaround.....

NADY DONE FOR SEASON

Baseball good guy Xavier Nady looks like he is done for the season (maybe more) after taking himself out of a rehab start in Wilkes-Barre, PA yesterday. His elbow looks like it's going for the 2nd TJ surgery. (Although that is not definite it appears that an MRI will show that today). Although he's not a big name in the scheme of things, it's guys like "X" that still make this game fun watching.

Get well, X and heal quickly. :exclamati
