Allegedly, a huge swarm of bees has overtaken the Padres game in the 9th inning @ Petco. Play has been stopped for quite some time.

More than allegedly,they're there a thousand or so under the ballgirl's jacket.They have a bee keeper enroute they say.Very strange.FSN Houston has had some good coverege of the swarm.

Not anymore.A beekeeper just came out on the field 10 minutes ago & sprayed them with 2 huge cans of "raid" like spray and they were taken care of.They were killer bees they were saying too.That might explain their instant disposal of.They were taken away in a huge plastic garbage bag.

I was in the valley a few times at "The Jack" (Murphy Stadium) and they had problems with gnats and flies.One night at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore we were invaded by seagulls.
They have that problem in SF often. It is amazing how conditioned the birds are. They come in around the 9th inning and wait for people to leave in order to get all of the left over food. One time the game ended late because of a rain delay but the birds still came around the same time they always do. This time they did not wait for people to leave.
You gonna blame this on Dusty Baker AKA the man you hate more than anyone else in sports?

Manny returns and went 0-3 with a BB. Of course, as usually, the Dodger fans outnumbered the Padre fans about 2 to 1 in SD. It was hard to tell how many were booing because most of the Dodger fans were cheering.

It was difficult to get a grasp of the audience reaction in today's game since Fox has horrible audience acoustics. They tend to drown out the background noise more than other networks. Fox games always seem much more quiet.
