Allegedly, a huge swarm of bees has overtaken the Padres game in the 9th inning @ Petco. Play has been stopped for quite some time.
More than allegedly, they're there a thousand or so under the ballgirl's jacket. They have a bee keeper enroute they say.Very strange.

Who said the Padres have no sting?
They have that problem in SF often. It is amazing how conditioned the birds are. They come in around the 9th inning and wait for people to leave in order to get all of the left over food. One time the game ended late because of a rain delay but the birds still came around the same time they always do. This time they did not wait for people to leave.I was in the valley a few times at "The Jack" (Murphy Stadium) and they had problems with gnats and flies. One night at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore we were invaded by seagulls.
The Reds really need to get their butt in gear. They keep just hanging in there but don't really do anything.
You gonna blame this on Dusty Baker AKA the man you hate more than anyone else in sports?

Manny returns and went 0-3 with a BB. Of course, as usually, the Dodger fans outnumbered the Padre fans about 2 to 1 in SD. It was hard to tell how many were booing because most of the Dodger fans were cheering.
Pretty much every sale out Petco had this year is when the Dodgers showed up.
Well....isn't that what you expect when one of your top rivals ALSO happens to have the best record in baseball?
And when there are more Dodger fans in SD than Friar fans.
Manny just went yard in his first AB in today's game (second game back)
It was difficult to get a grasp of the audience reaction in today's game since Fox has horrible audience acoustics. They tend to drown out the background noise more than other networks. Fox games always seem much more quiet.
Haven't they been doing that when he played for the Sox?I think New York fans will fillet him and have him for dinner!
