The latest disruptions to my production have been caused by my DSL going off-line. I'll come home and find that I need to reset both the Speedstream modem AND my Netgear wireless router in order to get back the connection to the Internet. Grrr™...

Just a couple of changes here. Lost 3 or so garbage clients. Gained an almost full time PS3 Client. Split my 2 ATI 3850's as to run individual clients getting about 3100 - 3200 points a day out of them now, plus a standard client getting about 400 points a day on the overclocked Phenom 9850.

My xenon quads have lost about an average of 300 - 400 points a day on the IBX in water protein is anyone else seeing this? Also having a time keeping them running after the previous WU finnishes and sends. I usually have to stop the clients remotely and delete the work directory and then re start them to get them back folding. So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions let me know.

Well looks like we gained a few spots so keep it up team!!!! :)

I havent gotten any of those wu's Plazzman. I have shut down 2 of my single core machines yesterday so I only have 6 clients running now.

Edit: I take that back, I've done 134 of those wu's Plazz and they do take longer but hell they are worth 1920pts.

It says you have done 176 of those wu's.

Scorp welcome back!!

Yes I realize they are a big units but when I started ( 2-3 months ago) they were self sufficient and scoring more points 3-4 hundred more a day, actually finished in a 24 hour period and restarted no problem. Now days they lock up after every unit folded if not before and have become a maintenance nightmare so to speak.:)

On a more serious note. We have seemed to loose all the spots as a team that we gained in the last 2 weeks so maybe you should re instate those to single clients??:p

Fold on. Fold On. Plazz

Hey Plazz, what client are you using on the xeon's ? I use 5.91 with really no problems. Oh and I shut down the other single core client ant the PS3 because I got another video card. It's an Evga 8800GS. It gives me 4400 ppd overclocked. I also have overclocked my 8800GT and it getting 5000 ppd along with my 8600GT getting about 1700ppd. I only have 3 SMP's going now.

Running the 5.91 Beta 6 on all 5 Xoen machines. This is weird as I'm getting errors after about 22 units on almost all of those clients that states it is due to heat and overclocking. No other problems with the machine running anything else though. These machines are brand new dell's that have the stock lock in bios so that you can't overclock them!! I had to re install the 5.91 on one client last night and that seemed to fix it so far but the others are experiencing the same error. The other thing is if this clients get a different wu they run at there normal expected 1900-2000 pts a day with no problems. Think I will do some posting on the stanford forums about the IBX WU and see what happens.

Well it's a good thing I have a few more machines to hopefully keep up with your astronomical ppd counts...:)

Welcome to the team George. I agree we need all the help we can get. Thats a nice card you have. Can you give us some specs? (Memory, Core, shader specs).

:up:up

I'm running stock speeds because it's crammed into a SFF case.

The specs are:

675 Mhz core
900 Mhz memory
1650 Mhz shader

There are 64 shader units in the 9600GT.

With the 177.35 drivers it gets between 3500-3600 PPD on my system. I usually turn it off at night (fan noise keeps me awake) so that limits me to 2500 PPD actual productions.

Plazzman,

I have had the 2665 Wu (IBX in water) hanging, I found out it was a network issue, with renewing the dhcp ip, made the IP static and it has not hung again since.
It is also a very intense WU, im getting about 2000 PPD with it versus the 2653 WU that i was getting 2700 ppd. I'm running this on an OC'd Q6600 but the 5.91 beta client seems generally stable nowadays.

gbgjany Hi ,
Thanks for the info! Yes I did some posting and found out that the IBX in water is by design about 550-650 or more depending on machine PPD slower and the only thing you can do is stop it and try to get the different WU. Mine are running in a domain that has to have DHCP assigned address's although they don't change unless the machine is gone for 7 day's. It is random when they die just a pain, I may try and set IP hard code on them though. Thanks Again. :)

Has Scott ever thought of doing something like having joining the SatGuys F@H team be the entry for one of the front page contests?

If we recruited a few more active users that could run one of the high performance clients (GPU2, PS3, and SMP) we could make a run at 100,000PPD and crack the top 100 teams.

Sorry guy's due to High Heat  , Electrical Bill's , on and on. I will be stopping all my folding. Good luck to all on the Team and I will hopefully be back in the fall.

Fold On.!! :up

Plazz

Yeah don't blame you Plazz.

I'm waiting to get my electric bill since I started folding with the video cards and they take more power. Thats why I shut my PS3 down a week or so ago because I new my bill was going to go up. We will see.
