Increase in Monthly Cost

Folks,

I have an upgrade scheduled for today. However, I'm still need to be very clear on how much my monthly cost will go up by, since I got 2 different responses from different reps.

I currently have a VIP 722 + VIP 222. So, I am paying $14/month for equipment + $6/month for DVR fee.

I ordered 1 Hopper + 2 Joeys. So, from what I was told by 1 of the reps is, my lease fee will be just $7/month + $6/month DVR fee + $4/month Whole Home DVR fee.

This would cause my monthly bill to go down by about $3/month (after taxes): $14 + $6 = $20 (fee taken off my monthly for replacing the 722 & 222). $7 + $6 + $4 = $17 (fee added for 1 Hopper + 2 Joey). Is this correct or is the rep off base here??

As I understand the pricing structure (and might be wrong), the pricing for your case would be:

$6 DVR
$4 Whole House
$14 Joeys (2x$7).
$24/total

1 Hopper + 2 Joeys = $24 monthly fee.
Whole Home DVR Fee: $ 4
Standard DVR Fee: $ 6
Joeys (2@$7) $14

so with 1 722 & 1 222, the monthly cost was $14 + $6 DVR fee = $20. Now with the 1 Hopper + 2 Joey it's $24. So my bill goes up by $4, contrary to what the rep told me.

yes, but you gain the ability to send HD to a 3rd TV. Whether or not that is worth the price difference only you can answer.
