Hopper Transfers

Is it possible to transfer recordings from one Hopper to another? Thinking of getting a HWS and will need to move my recordings from old to new Hopper.I don't have a compatible external HDD, and don't want to buy one if I don't have to.

You'll need that EHD, it is the only way to transfer recordings....

Saw your post in the other thread about the EHD. I think I'll pull the trigger on the one your getting. Thanks for the info!!

I managed to get this Feb. 1 from Amazon.
"WD Elements 2 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive" Personal Computers; $89.99
It has gone up $20 since. You have to be alert, I use DealNews.

Current low is newegg.com, posted today:
Refurb Fantom 1.5TB USB 3.0 External HDD for $50 after rebate + free shipping
Fantom is a little noisier. I have one from Buy.com 2TB at $130-20 rebate 10/2010.

Anything at/near $40/TB is great. I took $45/TB with case.
Limit is 2TB on Dish although 3TB is cheaper/TB generally.
