That's right. I've been with Time Warner for years now and we just made the switch. I'm a tech guy who's been watching for the hopper for about a month now and I'm excited to be making the switch. We currently have 3 rooms in our house, one with basic cable (no DVR/cable box), one with a DVR box (mostly used for live TV), then another DVR box which is always recording two shows that force us to watch those shows, cancel one, or move to another room. To top it off, when we do watch DVR'd shows, there are always performance issues, video images starts splitting obscurely, audio fully drops out, etc. We've been through two different boxes with the same issues. My feeling, poor software. I think the physical DVR box itself, made by Cisco, is probably okay. But that's my gut feeling being an IT guy.

So here we are, Hopper ordered. Looks like it's going to run me 60-something per month for the first year (1 x hopper, 2 x joey, 250 chan). Then about 95-something after that. My time warner bill was easily over 110 just adding up TV related line items. Now i'm adding additional features, and better technology, while saving money.

Install is this Saturday, 2 day! Woot! Get some!
