I have this 211k upgraded to a dvr .. I can't get the Blockbuster streaming on it and the Android app for remote control wont work on it either. I called about upgrading to a Hopper and a Joey , and Dish Executive Dept told me it would cost 400 dollars to upgrade?

Are they kidding? I am not even getting the services on my receivers I am paying for and they want 400 bucks to upgrade. This is really dissappointing.

My other option is to upgrade it to another 722K and they still want to charge extra for it? I don't understand why would I have to pay extra just to get what I am paying for anyway.

At 400 to upgrade .. I guess Hopper and a Joey are out of the question.. Is this fact or just garbage I am getting?
 
for whatever reason not all customers are showing eligible for the best Plan A/B upgrade offers. Easiest thing to do is just wait a bit to see if they requalify customers at some point.

Being a new customer, late pays, getting a regular credits, etc can sometimes put you in Plan C from what we can tell. Hard to say as the criteria isn't public at all.

Obviously, another alternative is to just jump ship and find a provider who will treat you better.
 
Thanks .. appreciate it much ..just unbelieveably dissapointed at the pricing .. must be getting the "New Customer" 400.00 penalty .. Again Thanks for your reply .. I waited on DISH for 13 days to get feedback .. and I had to call the Executive Dept just to get an answer that I was promised to get in 24 to 48 hours.. Jump ship looks attractive.. It is funny that it is almost cheaper to early terminate than to upgrade to a Hopper and a Joey!
 
Sounds like you were not properly informed before getting your current setup. EHD to 211 only add dvr features to the receiver. It does not give you online or app features. You need a dvr receiver (not non-dvr with EHD) and sling connected. Have you tried to PM a DIRT member here to assist you?
