How about BD selling more software for the past 51 straight weeks, is that FUD too?
And DirectTV has been outselling Dish for longer much than that - does that mean I should drop my Dish ASAP and go only with D*?

It's more like 5:1.But when your install base is 8:1 and all you can muster in software sales is 2:1, that is nothing to brag about.

I don't see it that way.. There is not nearly enough movies out on both formats! We purple are lucky but I'm sure glad I'm not blu or red.. They are both too limited..
I think you should drop Dish and come where the real fun is at.
DirecTV has more sports programming, no more HD Lite! (IE 1920x1080i)
And NFL ST.
No matter what they say, the movie selection on Blu-ray is the reason why they are winning and the studios support. The systems may not have a huge difference, but its all about the movies. Movies is what makes a format win and be successfull, Blu-ray outselling HD-DVD whenever a movie is released in both formats, and soon all studios (Warner) will finally notice that and put and end to the HD-DVD misery.
Up until Q3, DISH Network had been adding more net customers than DIRECTV for several quarters. And DirectTV has been outselling Dish for longer much than that - does that mean I should drop my Dish ASAP and go only with D*?
Except they haven't improved their original HD programming. TNT etc. all still look like c***.
I think Harry Potter was Warner's gauge. At 1.2-1 and 1.3 to one, I don't see them switching to Blue exclusively. If it had been 2.2 or higher to one, that would be different.

Warner's staying purple. That would make 2008's dumbest moments in business if they were to dump all that online customer data they've obtained from HD-DVD users since Blood Diamond.

The best thing HD-DVD supporters can do is to use the online features of their HD-DVD players. I've even connected with a few rentals like "Freedom: Vol 1". That interactivity data blows away any Nielsen or Videoscan data, and all the studios know it.
Ditto for me and my FAMILY!! :upI hear ya. Just give me my movies. Harry Potter, Pirates, etc. for the family, Eastern Promises, The Kingdom, etc. for me.

Warner also just announced duel release for "In the Valley of Elah" for February. I didn't see it, but I'll probably pick it up.

Paramount gave up 2/3rds of their HDM sales and went HD-DVD exclusive so anything's possible.
yes but they didnt have to give away 50% of their stock for free. While 2/3 is an easy number to throw out there, will be neat to find out one day the actual economics behind their moves and some of the others in this war.
