High Def Disc unit sales - The Digital Bits

Two of whom I've blocked. Not worth my time anymore.

It almost seems like they can never do it the same way each week Navy.
I wonder if they're trying to get more subscriptions. Not sure, I thought the digital version was free. I'll have to look into it.

Anyway, I've updated the post with the figures, such as they are.

Exactly.

I dunno about the DE, Ive tried subbing a few times and have not had any luck.

I have plenty of love to give, but not for three pessimists in this outfit.
BD recent string of very public disappointments is not us being pessimistic its reality!

Poor hardware sales is a reality!
Poor software sales is a reality! (1% disks sales)
Rising hardware prices since the war is a reality.
BD live horrible performance is a reality.
Shall I go on?

How can one be optimistic with so many dreadful things going on.

Yeah it will only be a few years before it overtakes DVD. :haha :haha :haha

From Home Media Magazine:

Software units sales ratios as of 05/4/08:

Reporting the Blu-ray versus HD DVD figures seems to have been discontinued.

Top 20 Blu-ray vs Top 20 DVD unit sales: 5% to 95%

This brings to a close my reporting in this thread. This is the HD DVD / Blu-ray War Zone, after all, and it appears no more figures will be released on "that" war. One day, when Blu-ray appears to be making headway in increasing it's market share vis-a-vis DVD, I'll start up a thread tracking that, if no one else beats me to it. In the Blu-ray forum. I don't expect that to occur for many months, however. No point in posting a figure that hovers around 5%, week after week. Maybe by Turkey Day.

I’ll shed a tear.

No offense to you but I always thought the numbers were trash anyway. Sony with their give aways and BOGO's often made the numbers useless and misleading. Brings to mind the week Transformers was released and BD still held the lead, also Open Season being #2 in sales when EVERYBODY knew it was a throw in.

They weren't useless, but they were cited too much as gospel, and without knowing the volume of sales for each camp their use was always limited. Other than the last 2 weeks, they were never a very good way to measure how the war was going for either side.
