2011 AL Central Thread

What's with the White Sox wearing green caps and letter? I don't ever recall that as being a "throw back" uniform unless is was at the turn of the 20th Century.

White Sox always do a St Patricks Day uniform for Sept. Since they're on the road on the 17th, they did it last night.

It's been an issue for me too since it is impossible to finish on top in this league if you can't fine a way to win on the road. Regardless, I'm wondering Leyland is going to play for the #2 spot (ahead of Texas) or rest his starters as much as possible. We could sure use another left-handed batter with power in the lineup (Boesch).

Theres been alot of talk about the # 2 spot around here ....
Yes, it would be nice to have Boesch, however, I think it will be next year before we see him again on the field.

Personally, I think they can play with any of them this year.

I think they can play with anybody this year too. I still want the #2 spot because I plan on going to as many playoff games as possible so I want home field advantage.

Tigers win 2-1 and are now 22 games above .500 after their 9th straight win. Amazing! It seems like just the other day I was moaning how the were only 6-games over .500 and that I felt they had the talent to be 15-games above .500. Schweet!

Wow another game another win! For the Tigers!

Martinez became the first player to hit into four doubleplays since Joe Torre did it on July 21, 1975. I would expect this from Inge or Rayburn and not from Martinez the way he has been hitting the ball this year.

He is just so slow. He has no chance of running out a grounder to break up a double play.

You'll have that with most catchers, comes with the territory, can't imagine what thier knees must be like.

For those that are having baseball withdrawls...
