...especially since Betemit is hitting .290 and both players bat from the right side.
Also, as much as I appreciate Avila in the lineup...I would like to see take a day off now and then from catching. He's swinging a hot bat so let him DH.

Porcello cruising along .... leading 8-0, however, he has the ball being pounded in the dirt tonight and has only given up 1 hit so far. Going into the 7th. Olny 62 pitches so far for Porcello thru 6.

Holy Crap! I don't understand the game time since the Indians are playing at home the following day (night game) against the White Sox, and the Tigers are off the following day and traveling all the way back to Detroit. I'm stumped. Anyway, it looks like I'll miss the game too since I have a business/working lunch from noon-3'ish.

I'm not about to buy plane tickets...although I will be making plans to come back and see the Tigers should they make the playoffs along with a game at the Big House.

Verlander is going for his 22nd win but it looks like they aren't going to give him quite as much offensive firepower tonight. I guess his start is a good day to give some of the offensive players the day off because you know he wont give up much.

Rhymes at 2nd of Raburn is a + defensively and a wash offensively, you just won't get HRs from Rhymes, but you can pinch hit for him if you want.
Betimit for Inge, that's a + offensivly.
Kelly is the only change that does much and he's a prety good all purpose player.

I just tuned-in and see the Tigers hanging on to an 8-7 lead gonig into the bottom half of the 8th inning.
