2011 AL Central Thread

Porcello has only been in the Bigs for 2 years ?
Doesn't sound right, but thats what was just mentioned on the tube.

Porcello cruising along .... leading 8-0, however, he has the ball being pounded in the dirt tonight and has only given up 1 hit so far. Going into the 7th. Olny 62 pitches so far for Porcello thru 6.

Gonna miss the game tomorrow, hate doing that with Verlander pitching ....

Day game, almost a Morning game, game time 12:05

Holy Crap! I don't understand the game time since the Indians are playing at home the following day (night game) against the White Sox, and the Tigers are off the following day and traveling all the way back to Detroit. I'm stumped. Anyway, it looks like I'll miss the game too since I have a business/working lunch from noon-3'ish. :(

Take your Business lunch to the game !

It's almost scary the roll the tigers are on and you end the series with JV!!

Today's lineup.

1. Jackson CF
2. Rhymes 2nd
3. Dirks LF
4. Cabrera 1st
5. Martinez DH
6. Avila C
7. Betemit 3rd
8. Kelly RF
9. Santiago SS

Verlander is going for his 22nd win but it looks like they aren't going to give him quite as much offensive firepower tonight. I guess his start is a good day to give some of the offensive players the day off because you know he wont give up much.

Well.... Cabrera and Martinez and Avilla are still in there.

Rhymes at 2nd of Raburn is a + defensively and a wash offensively, you just won't get HRs from Rhymes, but you can pinch hit for him if you want.

Betimit for Inge, that's a + offensivly.
Kelly is the only change that does much and he's a prety good all purpose player.

Yeah, it was mostly seeing Rhymes and Dirks batting 2nd and 3rd that looks weak to me. Instead of Peralta and Young we have Rhymes and Dirks batting today.

Ya, I gotta agree with you, I would not havebatted them together like that, particularly if Jackson isn't hitting today.
