Yep, expanding the roster this week. Also, it's a good time to send Penny down to Toledo!
Wow! If you included yesterday's game the Tigers scored 26 unanswered runs until the While Sox just put some on the board here in the 9th.
Tigers win! Are the White Sox finished for the season? It sure seems that way if the pitching coach was considering have Adam Dunn throw for an inning.
We're heading to Cleveland but we'll be carrying hot bats and starting Fister tomorrow. Big Series between the Tigers and Indians!

Can't, Toledo's season is over now.
Incase you hadn't heard yet, Brennan Boesch is out for the season, he's scheduled to have surgery on his hand this week in Cleveland.

I watched a little bit of yesterdays game (1st time in about 3 weeks) and I'm glad I didnt miss anything
Side note....had the game on the radio and Dan Gladden needs to be the analyst not the play by play guy. The radio guys have a mix and match of like 5 different crews and Gladden is either the analyst or sometimes the pxp guy. During the lineups he said "California Angels" and then proceeded to make the word "road" a 2 syllable word (as in the Twins are finishing up this ro-ad trip).

This sucks as we could really use another left-handed batter in the lineup (especially one with power) these next few weeks.

Not sure what the status of Fister is, but he's earned a raise since he got here.
Fister went 8 innings today leading 4-2, gave way to Valverde in the 9th.

Congrats Tiger fans. That was just about the nail in the coffin yesterday. The division is yours baring an epic meltdown.
Unfortunately this isn't the first time we've been in the driver's seat only to lose the division in the last week of play. However, the Twins aren't in the picture and the Tigers have all the gears in motion...except for Pitchless Penny, of course.

Porcello is pitching. As much as I hate to call it early after what has happened to us in the last few years I think a win today with Verlander pitching tomorrow and it is completely over. We will be hard to beat even if we lose tonight and tomorrow. There is a lot to be excited about in Detroit this fall.
