Expected. Manusky was a failed experiment after Ron Rivera left for Carolina. Chargers' defense took a giant step backwards.
true. how do you feel about norv staying another season. we know the players wanted that.

I love Turner as a human being. I hate him as a head coach. Every team he's coach has regressed. Looks like Spanos won't fire Turner until he's ready to fire A.J. Smith, the GM.

I think Manusky took the fall for Turner which really isnt right. So hes out of a job and you still have Turner which frankly hes won as a head coach.

Raiders letting their defensive staff go, but making them work the final 2 weeks of their contract instead of firing them. Its like All Davis is still there. Raiders lashed out at a report of the firing last week.

Denver summit: All eyes on Kroenke-Fisher Whether the Rams eventually land Jeff Fisher remains to be seen, but the rest of the NFL has taken notice of owner Stan Kroenke's serious pursuit of the former Tennessee Titans head coach.

In conversations with various sources around the league, one recurring theme has been that Kroenke must be serious about winning in St. Louis if he's going after Fisher.

Kroenke is meeting with Fisher today in Denver. There were no helicopters and photo ops, as was the case in Miami, because that's not Kroenke's business style.

This will be Kroenke's first coaching hire as Rams controlling owner, and for better or worse, it will help define his ownership style to his competitors in the NFL. But it's not only outsiders in the league who are taking notice. So are Rams players, many of whom are hoping their next boss is someone with prior head-coaching experience, and are excited about the possibility of working with Fisher.

One player, when told Kroenke would open his wallet to get Fisher, replied: "He better!"

* * *

According to league sources, if the Rams hire Fisher, he would not be interested in having Josh McDaniels stay on as his offensive coordinator. The seven-step drops and more free-wheeling approach of the McDaniels' scheme doesn't mesh with Fisher's more conservative philosophy.

* * *

League sources also tell the Post-Dispatch that former Rams head coach Mike Martz, who parted ways with Chicago earlier this week as Bears offensive coordinator, is not on the Rams' radar as a potential head coach. Neither is Brian Billick, former head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.

Having a s*** backup, doesn't make the starter any better or worse. It just shows that some teams prepare for the season better than others. Maybe the Packers score 60 points if Rodgers started on Sunday and the Patriots win 15 games in 2008 if Brady doesn't get hurt.

I thought we weren't suppose to use swear words with symbols in them anymore.

Raiders interviewed Packers president of player personnel and former Raider Reggie McKenzie for the same position. That would be a HUGE coup for the Raiders and a step in the right direction if he comes this way.

Twitter talking heads say he's been hired. Raiders will surely deny it, call reporters losers, and then announce he's hired tomorrow. If Hue is gone by early next week maybe they won't be so far behind the rest of the pack when they realize they need to make that move.

Calm down Tex....1st year mistakes made by a 1st time head coach that got a little bit ego driven. A good GM will bring Hue back to reality.

I was going to say that this guy is really ******* me off, but I can't! I'm supposed to disagree with this guy, but it's difficult when his posts make so much sense...

Look at the last game of the packers, Rodgers didn't play and look how good the backup did. I already stated about the patriots losing Brady.

ONE game....... ONE game......you have no idea if this guy is good or not.

Maybe he just slept at a Holiday Inn express the night before.

i hate the fact that over that one stupid game i hear some people saying that miami should look at this flynn guy. :rolleyes:
look how well kolb is doing or cassel of the chiefs.and those guys have a larger body of work

Six TDs and 480 yards passing, that's pretty impressive, maybe it's not Rodgers it's the offense he's running plus the players that surround him. IDK but makes one think.
