Green Bay and New England also have the worst defense statistically this year. If they lost Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers and stunk as bad as Indy did, do they also fire their GM?

Look at the last game of the packers, Rodgers didn't play and look how good the backup did. I already stated about the patriots losing Brady.

No smog in San Diego guys.....and not really much for traffic problems.

You can site stats all you want, but if you want to know what's going on, go there.

I would love to.

Maybe that's the reason, the year Manning goes out and the team is pathetic just because of him not being there. Brady goes out and they have a winning record. Also bring Collins in might have something to do with it also.

these are exactly the reasons why they were let go.

i don't think either of those teams end up only winning two or three games in a season. now besides what has already been mentioned, i believe the other reason why the polians were let go is that they weren't seeing eye to eye with irsay about what to do with manning. that's just a feeling i'm getting and it would make sense.

If you like it now, you would have loved it 40 years ago. I remember my father taking me to a Chargers/Bills AFL championship game at Balboa Stadium downtown (gone now). There might have been 20,000 people at the game that day (Christmas day, 1964).

The ALSO have the best takeaway ratios in the NFL. Green Bay at +24 and New England at +16...that means the defense are bending but not breaking. That is HUGE.

Looks like poor planning was the key to Polian's departure:

On Wednesday, Polian told The Associated Press that not grooming a replacement for the injured Manning was the primary reason the Colts collapsed this season, going from Super Bowl contender to the league's worst record.

"I've always told the staff that our approach should be to hope for the best but plan for the worst, and I didn't do an adequate enough job of planning for the circumstances we were in," Polian said in a phone interview. "It led to this catastrophe."

Or they just have a REALLY good offense to turn those occasional turnovers into points. Like I said, in today's league offense rules. Defense doesn't seem to matter much.

ROFLMAO!!...wait.... you were serious?!
Of course! Who would want to do this in the winter...

Having a s*** backup, doesn't make the starter any better or worse. It just shows that some teams prepare for the season better than others. Maybe the Packers score 60 points if Rodgers started on Sunday and the Patriots win 15 games in 2008 if Brady doesn't get hurt.

Expected. Manusky was a failed experiment after Ron Rivera left for Carolina. Chargers' defense took a giant step backwards.
