I find it interesting how many people like or dislike the Pro Bowl...then use it as an argument about players they like(...'he has made 5 Pro Bowls in a row...') or players they don't like(...'how come he has made only 2 Pro Bowls?').

I guess it would mean more to me if the players were picked by peers and coaches.

LOL!

Don't worry...so many people stress about 'their guy' not making the Pro Bowl...and most of 'those guys' will make it anyway since the Super Bowl guys can't play and so many guys pull out.

This is how it should be.

You won't find me using Pro Bowl's to back players, I think it takes next to nothing to get to one .... a player gets hurt, a few don't want to go, now your down to the 4th best player starting and addl players to fill other spots.
So if you take 3 per position (why they would I don't know) and use the example above, you have the 4th best QB going as a Starter and 2 others at least to back up, so you have 6 QB's, that made the Pro Bowl in each conference in this instance, if the othrer conference worked out the same way, now you have 12 of the 32 teams QB's making a PB... see what I mean ...

Does not matter...as long as the home team fans can watch the game on TV. Not everyone can make a football game and less can afford it. Good for the Bengals and their fans.;)

It does matter if the team NEEDS crowd noise and support to beat the Rat Birds. And don't give me the sob story about a poor economy. There are many cities much worse off than Cinci. Cinci just has bad fans. It's well documented. (No offense Ramy).

Ahhhh.... sometimes, we make too much of things. IF ANYONE needs to "Rat Birds" to win, it's me.

Since when has the Bengals fans been known to be bad fans? I did not know this. Sorry if I do not follow Bengals news.

I don't remember Cincinnati losing their football team.

2/3 of the pro bowl vote is players and coaches.

That is nice...but I would prefer that all of it was. But maybe that's just me.;)
I agree 100%. I'm guessing, and it's just a guess , that they allow fan involvement to keep interest in a game that hasn't meant anything in a very long time.
