Exactly... I don't know how you could consider Brees and not Brady. The Patriots have the best record in the AFC, with statistically the worst defense in the NFL, a patchwork offensive line, and no deep threat to speak of. Hmm, wonder how they got to 12-3?

All that said, I do believe Discount Double Check should be the MVP.

It will be interesting to see if the Patriots go after the record next weekend, too bad they play at the same time as New Orleans. Brady just 190 yards behind Brees, will come down to which team rests their QBs more possibly. A few drives by Brees should put the final number for the season out of reach, but can't really count out Brady at home.

I think 190 yards is too much to make up in one week, but you never know with Belichick's penchant to pay attention to the history books.

Both teams at home gives the edge to New Orleans (hosting Carolina) as well, especially with a 30% chance of snow in Foxboro (hosting Buffalo).

EVERYBODY knew that Drew Brees was going for the record. The Falcons should have played harder. Seriously,I think that it is just a bunch of sports reporters who are having heartburn about Brees breaking the record. Why I don't know. Dan Marino told Dree Brees to go for it & said that he was surprised that the record stood as long as it did. The Falcon's QB showed no hard feelings about Brees breaking the record,he congratulated him after the game. In fact,a number of Falcons did.

I got no issues with that. I'll say what's others already did and what I always say. If you have a problem with someone running up the score then play defense and stop them.

If Brees is under consideration then Brady is too, since it almost certainly wont go to 3 people I expect Rodgers to be MVP, and Brees and Brady may share offensive POY.
