Well one thing I can say ,believe it or not coach Caldwell probably saved his job.

I doubt it.

As I've been saying all along, one player doesn't make a team, can help greatly, but the rest of the team has to play as well, theres more than just the QB at issue here.

I did read that post, so OK, the draft isn't till April, you'll know ahead of time.

I never said I was Peytons doctor, I gave a Hypothetical question and you responded the way do did ....
It's been a hypothetical question all along as NO ONE knows for sure.

So when I asked you what you would do if Peyton was healthy, you never answered.

I am curious to see what people think about this choice they have.
As I said before, the decision is not as simple as you seem to think it is. A fan could sit there and say 'keep him' or 'let him go', but to those running a franchise it's a lot more involved than that. If Manning is 100% healthy and the Colts have the top pick that's going to be a real tough decision. They have to weigh the millions that they would pay Manning against the chance to get a highly regarded QB for their future. So far, Irsay has kinda tipped his hand by saying for now, that if Manning plays next year it will be for the Colts...

Similar to what the Chargers faced a few years ago. Drew Brees was coming off a possibly career ending injury, and well regarded Philip Rivers was on the bench. A decision had to be made since Brees would be a free agent after the season. The Chargers let Brees walk. Wrong choice?

No doubt the colts have LOTS of issues

My upset pick for tomorrow is the Miami Dolphins over the New England Patriots. A "healthy" Matt Moore will light up the Patriots' secondary. QB Matt Moore is so under the NFL's radar that his nickname should be "B-2" as in the B-2 Stealth Bomber.

Over the years the Colts have always had a lot of issues...but Peyton was good enough to overcome them.

Sandra
Not the issues they had this year.say that all you want,Peyton is on the offensive side of the ball.their defense this season has been worse than ever. They're not coached very well either and the defense is more pathetic than usual

I still have my doubts Roy.but it has been an improvement

Miami Dolphins defeating the Patriots will definitely be a loss nobody saw coming(except for yours truly;)). Also, the Dolphins do play better when Moore is in the game.
While I won't pick them to win I d think they'll be competitive. Now ask me that five weeks ago and i would've said the pats are going to destroy the fins.

Not the wrong choice, but different.
Brees when on to be BETTER than he was before.
Rivers has stepped in and done very well as well.

The Chargers were someone before Brees, although it had been awhile.
Indy was never talked about before Peyton.

Peyton MADE Indy what it is today.

SD already had a history.

I agree 100%

And again I'm so angry for nick saban passing on Bree's when he visited the fins!

I completely disagree, but I suppose that's what sports forums are for. Everybody gets an opinion...

Peyton's defense has always been weak for years....aside from Freeney and Mathis they've had almost nothing, and Bob Sanders was always hurt.

But Peyton overcame that by controlling the ball most of the game.

Only problem here is , will the Dolphins D be able to stop Brady and Company, Denver's top notch D couldn't ....

Hindsight is something you can't use in the Present time !

No one knew what the status of Brees and his shoulder would be ....
They were safe, by not taking him.
Safe isn't always right ...
Think Peyton in a few months.

I respectfully will disagree with your opinion as well. While you're correct that the defense has never been that great ,it's never been worse than this season. I believe that even if Peyton would've played this season the colts don't even make the playoffs. Years when colts were successful in the playoffs and more they had a decent defense and a good enough running game to help out Peyton. They've showed this season they have neither. And I believe their issues go all the way to HC and maybe GM.Those are issues that not even Peyton can overcome

True but it always seems that Miami is on the short end of these things.
