They were just talking about Kellen Moore on ESPN & how he would be remembered in 10 years. Immediately,I started thinking about Ty Detmar,Rodney Peete,& that QB that played NCAA Div. II football & who broke passing records & whose team would always score over 100 points against their opponent(Neil Lomax/Portland State).

Listen to the news

I'm not sure what news you listen to, but the Colts can opt out of Manning's contract after this season is over. If that happens, and the Colts have the first overall pick why wouldn't they take Luck?? Or, are you saying they would take another QB instead??

You don't see Dan Orlovsky as the future franchise QB for the Colts . Why they didn't start winning(one game) until (way) after he became their starting QB;).

No, I'm just wondering which way they will go, I would personally draft Luck and play Peyton.

It's definitely not that easy. According to the Indianapolis Star:

March 8 is the deadline the Colts have to pay Peyton Manning a $28 million bonus or allow him to become a free agent.

It also triggers the final four years of the five-year, $90 million contract he signed in July. Is that investment worth it in a player who has had three neck procedures in the last 19 months?? And, can they afford both??

Andrew Luck(?) the franchise QB of the 2012 draft.
Matt Barkley the franchise QB of the 2013 draft.

Barkley to stay in school.
:( i actually liked Barkley a little more than luck. and i'm not sure about miami drafting RG3.

LOL he also had an outstanding game against the Patriots in a loss...although that probably says more about the Patriots 32nd-ranked defense than it does Dan Orlovsky.

So, what would YOU do ?

Say bye to the guy that put you ON THE MAP ?
That easily ?

I think I like Luck better ...

I see Barkley as being the same as Mark Sanchez, interchangeable.
Yeah well we don't have a real shot at luck.barkley's decision while great for him ,really hurts the fins. We won't be able to resolve our qb issues via draft. In fact I don't see anything else we can do.

It all depends on who Does come out and who doesn't and how the draft shakes out, the Rams probably Won't take a QB, so theres one spot opened up for ya...

What position do you see them drafting in ? Top 5 ?

I'm not sure yet but I do know we have teams like the one you mentioned ,Cleveland,Washington and Indy ahead of miami.so we may be 5th at the moment.am I missing any other team here ?

I don't think the clowns will take a QB since they have McCoy.

If Manning is 100% healthy and ready to play, it's a tough decision. If he's not, it's easy. You let him go. Professional sports are a business and you can't pay older players that much money for past glory. Successful franchises know this and that's why they are successful.

I ask you,if the Oakland Raiders had a chance to get Andrew Luck & said that they were going to trade the pick away for a "#1 & couple of #2's" ,you don't think that Raider Nation would riot? If it was the St. Louis Rams with the number one pick, yes, trade it away for something better. Which QB would YOU keep over Andrew Luck,Sam Bradford or Christian Ponder?

I would trade Luck if my team is either St. Louis or Minnesota and I will tell you why. If you are Minnesota, you get Luck...and maybe that team makes the the playoffs. They have other needs... I do not know them, I am sure Ice does better than I do. IF they didn't, they would be alot closer to the playoffs than just 2 or 3 wins as they stand now. By trading Luck/#1 pick, you more than likely get at least 2 #1s and maybe a couple of #2s from what I read. With a 2nd year of Ponder, healthy Adrian Peterson and 4 possible picks in the 1st 2 rounds, that team, if they draft right, could overtake the Lions as the 2nd best team in that division.

St. Louis, they are much worse off and I am very sure that Luck in that team will not make the playoffs. Plus, Bradford is the last high drafted QB that got huge dollars, so you HAVE TO stay commited to him because of all the money you invested in him. Now, add a healthy Bradford, Steven Jackson and 4 picks in the 1st 2 rounds and suddenly they could become drastically better, maybe fight for a playoff spot.

And with Barkley announcing he is staying for another year, it just about guarentees 2 #1s and 2 #2s...at the very least.

Sandra

Not to knit-pick but, that "32nd ranked" defense has given up less points this year than the Jets defense. Just saying' :D

Let me know when they start putting yards up on the scoreboard, your defensive rank should be points allowed, because that is what matters.
