2011-12 NFL Season

Sorry, but I'm not sure what this has to do regarding Luck's ability...

Andrew Luck,Matt Barkley,& Robert Griffin III will be the top 3 QB's in the 2012 draft if they decide to come out early instead of returning for their senior years. Add Landry Jones to the list if he also came out early. All four of them would be the top prospects in an otherwise weak QB crop for 2012. It is what it is,whether their skills actually translate into a successful NFL career is another story,THEY ARE THE BEST OF WHAT'S OUT THERE NOW.

I'm thinking, if RGIII has the option to come out or not, that he SHOULD, if he feels he's ready....
His NFL stock is HIGH, theres No telling how Baylor will do next year, if they end up[ going back to what they were, his stock will drop drastically.

They just said on ESPN that if the Vikings get the number one draft pick they SHOULD draft Andrew Luck. Unless the Vikings purposely want to so alienate their fans that they(the Vikings) have no choice but to move to Los Angeles, they NEED to draft Andrew Luck. The Carolina Panthers had a nice rookie QB,but that didn't stop them from drafting Cam Newton & nobody can argue that THAT wasn't the wise choice to make. The Panthers might just be a play-off team next season.

Don't you think though that the fans would riot if the Vikings had a chance for Andrew Luck & didn't take it?

of course they will. The Vikes need to realize that unless they do something dramatic in the offseason blackouts will be happening next year. While this year and last year there have been some close calls next year they wont be that close. Season ticket holders will bolt and not renew

I heard...from various television/radio sources that have the #1 pick and you already have an established QB, it could worth up to 3 #1s.

That's pretty common with players that virtually "come out of nowhere" into prominence.

Those aren't arguments questioning Luck's ability, those are from people who want to keep Manning instead. If Manning can't come back to play at full potential, don't you think those same people would love to have Luck as his replacement??
:yes

Christian Ponder is not "established." Also remember, the Vikes started out with Donovon McNabb as their starter.
yeah...and see how well that turned out ;)

lets see...QB's we've used in the last 2 years
Farve
Tavarius Jackson
Joe Willie Webb
and we got rid of Sage
McNubb
Ponder
Webb
and now Sage is back

I remember when John Elway fell into the Broncos' lap. They also had forgettable &/or overaged QB's before that. His acquisition really rejuvenated the Denver Broncos & the fan base. Andrew Luck will do the same thing for the team he ends up with.

Fell into their lap?? Elway was drafted by the Colts and he forced them to trade him or he said he would play baseball instead (Yankees). The Broncos worked out a trade with the Colts...

I would keep Ponder and see if I can get AT LEAST a #1 and a couple of #2s out of someone for Luck.

I ask you,if the Oakland Raiders had a chance to get Andrew Luck & said that they were going to trade the pick away for a "#1 & couple of #2's" ,you don't think that Raider Nation would riot? If it was the St. Louis Rams with the number one pick, yes, trade it away for something better. Which QB would YOU keep over Andrew Luck,Sam Bradford or Christian Ponder?
