If the Indianapolis Colts or the Minnesota Vikings had a chance to draft Andrew Luck & they didn't take it,they traded the pick away, their fan base will NEVER forgive them, especially if Andrew Luck does turn into a franchise QB for a team other than theirs.

:facepalm

Following that 'logic', then every fan should feel that way about every player their team gets, no matter how they get him, right??

Trust me,I was in Denver when they got John Elway. They don't care how they got him, they were just happy that they did. Unlike how Broncos fans reacted when the Broncos drafted Tim Tebow, with initial shock, disbelief,& "WTF?",they were "dancing in the street" over getting John Elway.

Unless the Colts do something stupid like say,win another game, this whole argument about whether to keep the number one draft pick & get Andrew Luck or trade it away will be moot. That is unless someone wants to start the argument that the Colts could keep Dan Orlovsky as their QB(assuming Peyton doesn't come back) & trade the pick for a #1 & a couple of #2's.

Now you're comparing Elway with Tebow?? OK, I'm done...

Check please!!

I'm still not sold on Sam Bradford as QB. Detroit Lions fans will disagree with me,but I still feel like the Rams should have drafted Ndamukong Suh over Bradford,& then they still could get Andrew Luck with their draft pick if they ended up with the number one overall pick.

What if he turns out to be Ryan Leaf ?

Theres still talk that the Colts with the #1 pick will NOT take Luck and that Manning would leave.

Remember, SUH wasn't the only BIG name at the time, threre was debate on Suh over another Tackle DL, I can't remember who it was now.
So Suh was not the obvious choice when he came up.
