ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.—For all the buzz he's generated, Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow's presence couldn't prevent the Buffalo Bills home game against Denver on Saturday from being blacked out on local television.
The Bills announced Wednesday they still had about 24,000 tickets left for their final home game of the season. Buffalo closes its season having its last three home games blacked out.

The team has traditionally had difficulty selling out games past Thanksgiving. And it doesn't help that the Bills (5-9) are in the midst of a seven-game skid that's knocked them out of playoff contention.

The Bills also had three home games blacked out last season.

The Broncos (8-6) control their own destiny in their bid to clinch the team's first playoff berth since 2005.

Tim Tebow's best stats worthy of passing grade

Tim Tebow's Broncos teammates must wonder why all the fuss is made about his passing statistics.

The scoreboard, wide receiver Eddie Royal pointed out, shows the only numbers they care about.

In case others have forgotten, Tebow will enter Saturday's game at Buffalo with a career record of 8-4 as an NFL starter, including 7-2 this season.

"I think stats are for everybody on the outside," Royal said Tuesday after practice. "People inside this locker room really don't care what the numbers look like as long as you win. At the end of the day, we all work hard to get wins. We don't play for stats."

Actually, Tebow's passing stats are better than some may think. Among NFL quarterbacks, Tebow ranks at about the middle of the pack (14th) with a passer rating of 83.6.

That places him ahead of the likes of Cam Newton (82.3), Mark Sanchez (82.2), Andy Dalton (81.0), Michael Vick (80.6), Joe Flacco (80.0), Carson Palmer (77.7), Josh Freeman (73.5) and Sam Bradford (70.5).

It's during fourth-quarter crunchtime when Tebow really shines. Don't look now, but he tops the AFC in fourth-quarter passing with a 106.3 rating.

And among all NFL quarterbacks, only Eli Manning (111.8) and Aaron Rodgers (111.1) top Tebow in fourth-quarter efficiency. That's heady company.

More impressive is Tebow having led the Broncos to fourth-quarter comebacks in six of his eight career victories, including five late rallies this season.

Comeback victories carry more weight than a ton of statistics and whether a quarterback completes 65 percent of his throws. Tebow's .486 completion percentage ranks dead last among the league's starting quarterbacks. But no doubt most would love to have his penchant for pulling out victories when all appears lost.

"The last time I've judged quarterbacks, which seems like every day of my life, you're judged by winning ballgames," Buffalo coach Chan Gailey said Tuesday during a teleconference with the media. "That's what he does."

Tim Tebow has completed only 48.6 percent of his passes in his second season with the Broncos, but the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner from Florida is 7-2 in starts this year and 8-4 overall as an NFL quarterback.

While I find this interesting ... with Tebow and his come from behind wins .... ( I think Matt Stafford has more this year or very close).

Had he played better in the first half he would not have to be coming back from behind as often (same goes for Stafford, doesn't get the Offense going in high gear till the second half) Tebow waits till the last 5 minutes of the game ... with the exception of this past week.

This really shows how low things have gotten in Buffalo:

For all of the buzz he's generated, not even the presence of Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow could prevent the Buffalo Bills' home game against Denver Saturday from being blacked out on local television.

The Bills announced Wednesday they still had about 24,000 tickets left for their final home game of the season. Buffalo closes its season having its last three home games blacked out.

Yeah, Denver's defense was playing pretty well until they ran up against New England and their 15 tight ends nobody can cover...

The Broncos DID give up 32 to a Vikings team missing their biggest offensive weapon.

Interesting stat from Josh Dubow, AP: 76 atts...32 compl....521 yards, 1td at Revis. 16-32, 285, 4 tds at Nmandi and 37-83, 7 tds.

This is throws either in their area while playing zone or playing man-to-man. Dubow covers the 49ers and Raiders.

Those stats were sent from his twitter account. @JoshDubowAP

I think Moore would be a good choice, but he doesn't run the option.
If Moore gets with the right team I think he will be a VERY good pro QB.

But it wouldn't be such a big disruption in blocking schemes if he had to go in the game for an injured Tebow(assuming the Broncos would draft him) because he is also left handed. Another place he could go is the Philadelphia Eagles to back up Michael Vick, especially if Vince Young doesn't return to the Eagles. With Vick being as fragile as he is,Moore might could start some games.

Two months ago, the city of Buffalo was on fire for the Bills. Now, they can't sell out for Tebow. It seemed like just yesterday we scored at will and won games and Fear the Mighty Bills was the mantra of this site.Salsa, if you think the Raiders recent collapse is bad... At least they won a game AFTER HALLOWEEN!

Well....the ONLY saving grace was that they were 3 games above .500 when they went on their skid. IF we get most of our injury plagued players back, we have a good chance in the final 2 games. IF the Raiders win out and Denver loses against KC, the Raiders win the division.
