I think once the 49ers got to 20 points & the Steelers only had 3 points, that would have been a good time to sit Ben down & rest his ankle.

At that point, there was only 9 minutes left in the 4th.
Hardly worth taking him out at that point.

Steelers only had 2 drives after that point.

I have to add,I think that there was around 5 minutes in the game, more or less, with the 49ers 20 & Steelers 3,that's when one of the announcers said "I don't think we'll see Ben Rothlisberger play the rest of the game," & then was shocked that he was still in the "now meaningless(my words)" game. that's also when I added what I said about Ben needing to be taken out of the game before he got hurt even worse.

So the Ravens have the tie breakers over the Bengals, I know they do at the moment, but that would require the Bengals beating the Ravens in the last game.

Would that still be true ?

the Bengals would have three losses in the division and the Ravens would have two.

even so i would've sat him down at that point. but hey thats me. i've never coached a game in my life :D

AFC
1. Patriots
2. Ravens
3. Texans
4. Broncos
5. Steelers
6. Jets

So aside from New England, the other five teams currently in AFC playoff position all got pounded this week. All lost by more than two touchdowns.

I'm thinking the AFC playoff race is wide open.

I agree. Would it actually surprise anyone if the Chargers or Jets (that's if either of them even makes the playoffs), won the AFC?

Peronally, if someone told me I had to put up my house, I would go with the Ravens. But OTOH, they have had some butt ugly losses this season!

Not really considering the Pats, Ravens, Texans, and Steelers already clinched a spot so at this point, it's more about positioning. Yes, I agree the AFC West is still wide open and there's a wild-card that's yet to be clinched, but beside that, the playoff picture in the AFC is a bit more clear now.

The NFC playoff race is still pretty open considering that the NFC East is still up for grabs and nobody has clinched a wild-card yet, but that could change pretty dramatically after this week. It's still a bit more open than the AFC race since only 3 teams clinched in the NFC so far compared to 4 in the AFC.

Week 15- Not 10

From 5-2 and the AFC's best scoring offense to #26 in Bill's bottom 10.

What a miserable stretch of football it's been since Hallloween.

Sorry buddy, I just couldn't justify keeping them out any longer. And to think they were somewhere around my #3 or 4 earlier in the season. :(

I'm not saying you didn't have to: you have every right to do soIt's just tough for me giving the swagger we had back in October.

Projecting into next year & next year's draft,I predict that Kellen Moore will remain a "Bronco(a Denver Bronco)." I base this theory on the fact that the Broncos will keep Tim Tebow as their starter next year,& Quinn Brady is a free agent & will most likely go to another team, hopefully to blossom like Matt Moore seems to have for the Dolphins this year. Drafting Kellen Moore would give the Broncos a suitable back-up(kind of like the "wannabe" spare tire in your trunk),& because he is also left-handed,most of the offensive schemes,AND blocking, won't have to change is Tebow gets injured. You just won't have a "fullback" running down your throat on QB sneaks. It will be more like Maurice Jones-Drew or Darren Sproles running a QB sneak.

the Bengals would have three losses in the division and the Ravens would have two.

Wouldn't the Ravens also have 3 division losses if the Bengals beat them the last game?

I'm back boys.... and Sandra. What'd I miss? Did all yous behave? (Grandma Provenzano always says "yous". And I'm trying to honor her by using it more in my own vocabulary. It's an Italian thing. :D)
