the qb is ALWAYS a factor as you say but he alone can not get to a super bowl much less win one. there are dozens of cases of great HOF Qb's that spent most of their careers on awful teams. maybe this is one of those things where neither of us is wrong.

I agree, no right and wrong...just opinions. But please note I did NOT say a QB can win a Super Bowl alone. I said the QB is a HUGE percentage of the team.

but still went 11-5. if not for the miracle year the dolphins had with the wild cat they would've been in the playoffs.

That's why I said LOL...I remember the year. But what if Tom Brady gets injured in the first play from scrimmage next Sunday, and is out for the season? Their chances of winning the Super Bowl go down to almost zero.

Cannot say that about any other member of the Patriots. Not even close.

that is very true. with a great QB you always have a chance to make it to the playoffs and even the SB. check and see how many playoffs we've gone to since dan left. with him at least we always had a chance. i do understand the importance of a solid QB.

Think he is at a funeral/wake tonight...

but lately I guess he's been in the woods cutting down trees for the lumber mill :D

No he gets to sit in the office eat donuts and drink coffee while telling everyone else what to do. He doesn't do a damn thing at work except sit on his butt and look at the computer, that's right i said it, what's that redneck going to do about it?

This is what we thought when Mo Lewis sent Drew Bledsoe to a hospital bed back in 2001. A skinny fourth string quarterback replaced Bledsoe and led the Pats to a Super Bowl win in just his 17th NFL start.

That skinny kid is now 136-40 (including postseason) in his career.

You just never know..............

Bill, no offense, but I predict Miami/New England will be an expected outcome unexpectedly- Pats win, but Miami keeps it close throughout.

I agree. If it's anything like the Christmas Eve game in Foxboro back in 2000 (a game I was at), it will be a very exciting game.

LOL if the Patriots have another Tom Brady ready to come in to replace Tom Brady...all hope is lost for the rest of the league!
