The media loves to make excuses for this guy it's sickening.

I agree, thats why people are NOT liking him....

I think he's a good guy, good player but come on, you can't turn on a TV without hearing about him.

I avoided all Sports shows the other day and STILL heard about him.

See if you can turn on any Sports channel and go 20 minutes without hearing his name.

Not "because he DOESN'T try to avoid contact he's susceptible to being hit" but that because he doesn't pass well and he has to run like he does in order to win, over time this will cause injuries. Yeah it's the way he plays and that's the problem, he is young he doesn't feel it now but he will. Look at Vick he always gets hurt. The running QB doesn't work well in the NFL.

Yeah...we'll see. Like Bill Parcells says, Tim Tebow IS his record...he's 6-2.

Small sample of course, let's see what happens going forward. But personally I never even thought he would be 6-2...so I'm keeping an open mind.

There are no absolutes here...let's see how it plays out.

The question about the backup QB is a very good one.

The rest...I don't know. Before this season I would agree with everything you said. Now that I've seen Tebow have success, I'm not sure convinced way at the moment.

I never even thought he could be 6-2 with that kind of attack. But he is. Going forward...we shall see.

Sandra

I did find it interesting how easy the running (Running backs) game would break big plays because you never know who's gonna have the ball ...
It's almost like how great the running games were with the Run and Shoot, because you never knew when they would hand the ball off.

It's better than hearing about Penn State 24/7...;)

Believe me, I'm sick of it too!!!

It's interesting how Tebow GETS the record when they win, most of thier wins Tebow made the plays to win, but you had the Defense playing VERY well to win at least one .... They would have lost last week had Barber not lost his mind and ran out of bounds to stop the clock, thus allowing them to have the ball with time.

Yes Tebow is getting better, but not all these wins are BECAUSE of him.

It's a TEAM game, one man doesn't win or lose it without the rest.

Yes, but really the team has rallied BECAUSE of him. They all say it.

He has inspired them to BELIEVE. That is one of those intangibles they were talking about. No way Orton could do that, he just wasn;t that kind of guy.

THe defense was not playing this good before Tebow took over. It's just wild.....

I AGREE it's the team, especially the defense right now, but like I said, there's a fire there now that wasn't there before.

That's just the way it always is with QB's...this predates Tebow by decades.

This is a quarterback league, and quarterbacks are about their record. It's that simple.

now i understand. and your point is a valid one. difference is he may last longer healthy since he has a better build than vick. vick has a small frame so he's a little more delicate.

While I agree with you ...
Once you get good enough and enough time in the NFL you no longer hear about the QB's record.

And look at Ben, he is bigger than Tebow but over time he has gotten hurt, he doesn't run like he use to but than again he does know how to throw ball.

In some ways, but despite their amazing statistics, what are Jim Kelly and Dan Marino remember for as much as their stats? Not winning the big one. Joe Montana/John Elway/Brett Favre...and now Roethlisberger and Brady? Winning the big one.

That's because the QB position has an effect on the outcome of the game that exceeds any other position by a HUGE amount. The rest of the positions are not even close.

Of course it does ....

Then again, I'd like to see how many QB's do well if thier O line intentionally let the D thru ...
See what I mean ?

Don't forget Peyton & Eli Manning being in the win column. Then again,Trent Dilfer was also on a Super Bowl winning team & I don't see him entering the Hall of Fame in his & our lifetime.

exactly. thats why winning a superbowl is a TEAM effort. look how many times elway went to a superbowl without winning one until denver finally had more of a complete team. especially that running game with T.D.
