According to Jay Glazer: Lions have been informed by league office that Ndamukong Suh has been suspended by Commissioner 2 games without pay.

I am getting my information from current NFL business analyst of ESPN, editor of National Football Post and former vice president of operations of the Green Bay Packers, Andrew Brandt. He is saying Suh is due the lump sum guaranteed money THIS year on top of his regular $1.4 mill salary.
That's interesting, I was always under the impression that lump guaranteed money was paid in year one of the contract....

According to Scheftey: Texans plan to sign either Jake Delhomme or Jeff Garcia today as a backup for T.J. Yates.

Obviously neither is ideal at this stage of the game, but I think the Texans are more likely to catch lightning in a bottle with Garcia.

Looks like Suh ALSO received an option bonus of $17.4 million earlier this year on top of his $1.4 million annual salary. Regardless of when he received the $40 million guaranteed lump sum (this year or last), the amount he'd stand to lose ($82k per game) is in fact, a paltry amount for one of the highest paid player in the NFL.

I propose a new rule. Anyone who stomps on another player or person while participating in a sporting event will result in an additional fine and suspension levied against Christian Laettner too. That will solve the issue I'm sure.

From Peter King:

Brady climbs Mount Montana
I remember a few years ago Tom Brady's father telling me how significant it was that his son had won the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year award. Young Tom, he said, would come home from school on Thursdays in the fall and look for SI to read about his 49ers and his quarterback, Joe Montana.
On Sunday, Brady caught his ex-idol, winning his 133rd game (regular-season and playoffs), matching Montana's career number. Brady did it at 34. Montana won his 133rd at 38. So there's time to stretch the record off into the distance. Doesn't that seem ... premature? Or strange that Brady's caught him with so much time left to play? I suspected, even four and five years ago, that Brady might one day catch Montana on the wins and stats list. Just seems odd to be here already, but here we are.
Measuring the two all-time greats:

All Games (incl. playoffs)
Regular-season only
QB
G
W-L
Pct.
TD-Int
Rating
Montana
186
133-53
.711
273-139
92.3
Brady
173
133-40
.769
289-113
95.8

I was always hoping Darren and Drew would show up here...Darren would not put up with every other thread being hijacked LOL! Heads would roll...
