2010 NCAA Football Season

Don't be too hard on our Buckeye board members. I was just outside and the whole neighborhood is pretty somber (except the Michigan fans of course). They don't take losing well at all up here...kind of weird about it to tell you the truth. They're very serious about their Buckeyes. Don't seem to have a sense of fun or humor at all.

Oh, not ALL the Buckeye fans here...there are, as I stated, a few level headed ones here. There are a few that seem to make their team the greatest to ever play the game when they win AND make sure they come in here to tell everyone that they are. Then, a complete disappearing act when their team gets manhandled on national TV.

Well, my comments were mostly to a couple...there are still some common sense Buckeye fans....some. Wisconsin had played a tougher schedule up to last night and were a little more battle tested/ready for conference play. The had played Michigan St., Arizona State and Minnesota. Ohio State had only played Miami(who is just so-so and it took a total cluster f*** of a game by JaCory Harris to win). Ohio State is still a VERY good team....and truth be told, as their schedule gets better so will they...so you hope.

But the loss of the last #1s will hopefully create a MAJOR problem for the BCS to realize that a playoff is needed. GOD, it would be SOOO awesome if everyone has at least 2 losses.....it would send the BCS into total and complete panic mode. But I doubt it will happen.

As a buckeye fan, I stated yesterday that it would not surprise me at all if they brought home a loss. Now the bucks are my number 2 team but I would still say I am a fan.

Pretty solid poll however I feel Auburn is #1 and will be if they continue to win out with having to get past LSU and Alabama two top 10 teams. I don't see Boise St remaining at #2 for long either, they had Nevada ranked up till yesterday to play against and now that's gone for them. The only thing BSU has working for them is Virginia Tech - VT winning out and winning the ACC conf championship still will not keep Boise St looking good enough to stay #2 over all those other better teams even many with 1 loss just from the rest of their schedule. To be honest I see Auburn #1 and Oregon #2 playing in the National Championship, but ya never know, bama could beat the snot out of Auburn after beating the piss out of LSU, then a prob still ranked Miss St team to jump back into #2 or even #1 with 1 loss... Lots of football left top play!

BCS Poll is out:
BCS standings: Oklahoma, Oregon open in top two spots - USATODAY.com

1 - Oklahoma
2 - Oregon
3 - Boise St.
4 - Auburn
5 - TCU
6 - LSU
7 - Michigan St.
8 - Alabama
9 - Utah
10 - Ohio St.

Say OU, Oregon, Boise St., TCU, Michigan St., Bama, and Ohio State win out (I think these teams have the best chances at doing so - the Tide should handle Auburn at home and I don't see them having a problem with LSU's sputtering offense). If OU and Bama win out, it may be hard for others to pass them. I don't think anyone else has the schedule to get to 1 & 2. If Oregon continues to win big they may get in, but Boise St. and TCU won't get there with schedules packed with cupcakes/chokers.

Life in the BCS. Gotta love it. :D

Oklahoma being #1 is really stupid. They aren't any good, worse than LSU right now(at least LSU has flashes of brilliance when Lee is in)

Really??? I guess we have been watching different games, I am pretty sure Florida St would disagree with you. Granted they are inconsistent, but when they don't make the stupid mistakes they're a damn good team.

Im sure even die hard LSU fans would have to search hard for those flashes of brilliance.
I dont see it yet. Next week will be telling.

If we (bama) play like we have the past two weeks, and Auburn or even LSU plays decent, we will get blown out of the auburn game for sure, LSU will beat us status quo as well.
Now I think Saban will get it turned around, but he better do it soon. We are nothing to crow about right now.
I am a self aware fan :)

You have been pretty level headed....for the most part.

From my Vibrant using Tapatalk.....

I don't take losses as hard as I use too.
Kinda gotten use to it happening sometime thru out the year of late.
Of course a loss is very tough when it happens, but I get over it quickly and move on to the next weeks game.
What makes it rough is when 1 loss means your season is over.

Any more, teams have a chance to get back into things.
The Bucks are too far back to get back in the MNC game, (I don't expect things to fall in play the way they did in previous year) but they should be able to move up to play a good BcS game. (Top 8 usually).

Alabama is at # 8 and they are not out of it, but the Bucks are a bit farther back.

BCS standing comment, how in the heck is bama tied for 73rd in the SOS ratings? Yet LSU is 15th and stanford is 16th? (no not a part of the rankings, but who comes up with that????)
Is this a joke'? I would trade schedules with either to this point.
And 12th in the computers?

I know this will all change, but damn.....this is way off.

Remember, the BcS is always going on what HAS happened, not what is coming up.
However, Bama's played a tough schedule to this point.
