2010 NCAA Football Season

Florida loses to Mississippi State at the Swamp- first time that has happened since 1965!

And the Bulldogs without a single pass attempt in the second half (9 overall).

As for the Gators, that's their third loss in a row- they had 2 losses combined in 2008 and 2009!
Guess the party's over...for a little while. I wonder if Coach Urban is regretting rethinking that retirement thing he was talking about last year? ;)

Not sure what to think right now... all kinds of shake ups coming. I can't even figure out what to think of my Hokies at this point. They have won 5 straight games and dominated a few of them... nearly destroyed Wake Forest today. They have that close game to Boise st that they lost and then that stupid JMU game which was a shocker obviously but what in the world?!? At this point for them I can only hope they continue and run the table to the Orange Bowl...as of right now they are on the way to doing it and is the best team in the ACC.

The OSU game was a good one but what about that Auburn game!??! over 100 points, 1000 total Offensive yards between both teams...man what a game! As for SCarolina and Kentucky.... that was just plain stupid to throw that pass in the endzone like that. You either put a arm behind it and outside so nobody but your man will come up with it or you kick the FG and then see what happens but ohh well. Tomorrows BCS coming out party will be odd for sure, Boise St will prob be #1 but won't stay there for long with their remaining schedule they have the only thing helping them right now is Virginia Tech continuing to win and win big but it won't be enough.

To me #1 Auburn and #2 Oregon....No way would I vote Boise St even undefeated at the end of the year even over a few 1 loss teams....hell a few 2 loss teams are better than Boise St.

Embarrassment in Gainesville.

2 things.

1. Recruit rankings are Bullsh!t. 4 5 stars on the offensive line who can't block. Highly recruited wide receivers who can't get separation. Linebackers who are so dumb they should be in juco.

2. With all the doom and gloom if the can beat the rest of their SEC opponents( UGA, Vandy and USC) they can still go to Atlanta.

29 points against LSU, 7 against MSU. Terrible preparation. Thank god for the bye week, need to regroup.

Really? Miss. State? MISS FREAKING STATE AT HOME? wow. Look I know at the start of the season I said I was worried and we would be down but MISS STATE AT HOME? Scoring only SEVEN points? wow. All that talent but not a single team... Is Ron Zook back?

Ok enough of that anger, I know any team would be crushed losing almost an entire team to the NFL draft but come on. At this point I think this team has 0 confidence in itself, and they certainly have NO leader. Brantley isnt a bad QB he just is not a leader something this team lacks. Last year they had two great leaders Spikes and Tebow, This year NONE.

What about OSU, Holy crap there goes the BCS..

Aurburn really? What a game (and who says the big 12 is the only conference with no defense. Congrats to Auburn winning.

Old ball coach with a VERY tough loss today. Congrats Ramy but I was really hoping they win. But good news for FLA is now they still have a shot at the east.. Oh great so I can watch them get destroyed in Atlanta......

What a weekend..

Must-see games this weekend:

3:30 PM California-USC Fox Sports Net

Yes, that's it. Not a good weekend in the must-see world. Lots of interesting conference games so I'll be watching all day Saturday, but not only is nothing else must-see, Cal-USC barely makes this list as well.

I know, I know, Wisconsin-Ohio State is must see for some of you, but not for me. Ohio State hasn't beaten anyone yet, and if they win Saturday, that statement will still hold. But take heart, Buckeye Nation, it is one of those interesting conference games. ;)

Probably a good time for a brief explanation of what I determine 'must-see'. It's a game that anyone should watch, whether it involves their team or not, just because you like college football. In my mind, Wisconsin-Ohio State doesn't meet that standard.

Of course it is must-see for some of us, just like Fordham-Yale and Northern Colorado-Eastern Washington is also must-see for some people. But not me.

Sandra

Big whiff this week, Sandra. Looks like OSU-Wisconsin WAS a must-see, as well as a couple of others. and USC-Cal? ho-hum.....

Alabama got a bounce back win this weekend, but I was not at all impressed. Our o line has been on vacation for the past two weeks, and it has made our running game a non factor. Julio should have sat the game out, and McElroy needs to learn when it is ok to throw the ball away.

If Saban does not get them back on track, I can see another loss for us, maybe two.

And on the other side of the state......I REALLY hate to say it, but Auburn looked really, really impressive from an offensive standpoint. Cam is a BEAST!

Everyone is giving Miss State a hard time, but Mullen has really done good things there in a short time. They are a much improved team.

Let me just say this Dan Mullen knows how to coach offense, Steve Addazio doesn't.

It didn't take long for a good guy like Dan to get his program past their in state rivals and the retread moron they hired.

Hmm.....funny that there is no Ohio State fan in sight.....

Still in hangover phase, I was the same way when VT fell into a hole early. Its hard to lose big games, or even little games as a fan. If you only knew how I felt watching that JMU game, standing there in the rain with this WTF look on my wet face.

The Ohio State excuse machine is probably having a hard time spitting out its results, they will come once the machine starts printing.

Well, my comments were mostly to a couple...there are still some common sense Buckeye fans....some. Wisconsin had played a tougher schedule up to last night and were a little more battle tested/ready for conference play. The had played Michigan St., Arizona State and Minnesota. Ohio State had only played Miami(who is just so-so and it took a total cluster f*** of a game by JaCory Harris to win). Ohio State is still a VERY good team....and truth be told, as their schedule gets better so will they...so you hope.

But the loss of the last #1s will hopefully create a MAJOR problem for the BCS to realize that a playoff is needed. GOD, it would be SOOO awesome if everyone has at least 2 losses.....it would send the BCS into total and complete panic mode. But I doubt it will happen.

When Miami lost, I was not. I saw a team still a "not ready for prime time player". Believe me when I tell you that i knew EXACTLY how you felt when I saw Miami get trounced by FSU. But, sometimes, it's that slap upside the head of a good ole fashion a$$ whippin' that makes you realize that your team is either not that good, the other team is that much better....or worst of all, a small combination of both.

Next week, unbeaten LSU takes on unbeaten Auburn.

That's gonna be awesome.
It'll be worth watching, that's for sure. Auburn put some points up yesterday, but Arky was in self-destruct mode the last quarter. Like to see what Auburn does against a better defense, and that's what the Tigers have. LSU offense better get on track for this one though. If Miles' dumb ass continues to insist on playing Jordan Jefferson, who has demonstrated zero ability at QB, LSU will have no chance. No defense in the world will help if you can't put points on the board and constantly give the other team field position and turnover points.

Should be an interesting game though. Much better than watching something like the Hokies whip up on a nobody form the ACC. ;)

Don't be too hard on our Buckeye board members. I was just outside and the whole neighborhood is pretty somber (except the Michigan fans of course). They don't take losing well at all up here...kind of weird about it to tell you the truth. They're very serious about their Buckeyes. Don't seem to have a sense of fun or humor at all.

so lets talk about Matt Barkley. 67.5% completed passes, 352 yards, and 5 TDs against Cal. His day ended after 2 series in the third quarter.
