2010 NCAA Football Season

The problem with VT and Tyrod Taylor in particular is that when it came down to crunch time, Taylor threw the ball into the ground or into coverage. When Kellen Moore had his chance, he threw a touch pass over the defender for a TD.

Particularly the LAST series of the game for them.

I don't think they'll need to throw the ball much against Notre Dame - just don't make (m)any mistakes (i.e., turn the ball over) and they should win by 10-points. I just don't feel the Irish are very good this year. We shall see. Regardless, after this game I don't see Robinson having to pass under pressure until the Michigan State game. A much larger concern is who will run the offense should Robinson get injured. Certainly not the freshman Gardner...and Forcier is so pouty-faced and not engineered for this offense that I doubt he will be effective.

There are still a lot of question marks on defense which, as history has show, is to atypical of a Michigan football team. They appear to have improved somewhat over the offseason, but should find out this week against Notre Dame. In fact, how their defense performs may be even more important than how their offense performs in South Bend. We shall see...

I think this will determine their record this year in fact.

Notre Dame will pinch it's corners in and force Michigan to throw down field, not every play, but some key plays. How Robinson performs on those plays may very well determine how close the score is going to be.

I wonder how success will be measured this year after 2-years of "lowered-expectations" and whether the Rich Rod experiment is already marked for termination after the end of this season? Anything less than an 8-6 season and he is gone IMO, but will a 9-5 or better record keep him around for another year? While I certainly want the Wolverines to win each and every game, I so cannot stand the RR brand of football being played in Ann Arbor - not to mention the leadership and character issues. Ugh!

Taylor still had a very good completion number for that game, the defenders were covered pretty good when he was throwing vs Kellen whom was against a very young defense so there ya have it in a nut shell. Let's not forget Taylor throwing two perfect passes in last years Nebraska game that pretty much pushed Tech to win that game in the closing mins... he's good just was against good defensive coverage in the Boise Game. He will improve alot as the year goes on if the O-cord calls some good plays unlike the last few of that game.

Thanks for the heads up Bill, I didn't know we had games on Friday. :)

Well that was so I could root against Salsa... :) But that leaves you feeling left out so Im not sure what to do now!

I am no fun to root against because I do not do that kinda "were gonna kick your a$$" talk. Not me....:o

But when my team does bad....I go off on them. But as the ole saying goes, "don't you call MY ho a bitch!";)

Good point, but man I love watching Salasa flip out. Plus I HATE the canes. I dont like the Seminoles either but was least Bowden tried to run a classy program (even though they had a few incidents) At least bowden stepped up and took care of them. Miami just seems to want to recruit any thug they can find that can play and dont care how they are off the field/.

And yet, The U...with ALL their "thugs" has had a better graduation rate from their football team than your Gators.

And do a little search in google under "college football graduation rates"...and you will see that they pretty much have always had a better graduation rate that UF...even with ALL their "thugs".

Scout.com: The Bootleg's 2010 Graduation Rate Analysis

That program up there that plays in The Swamp....should not be throwing stone in glass houses.....;)

Regardless of what happens on Saturday- this is a non-ACC game- I still like Miami to make a BCS game.

It will be the measuring stick for The U to see if the program is really back. EVERYONE expects Ohio State to win....except folks in South Florida. But that is how we 'Canes have ALWAYS liked it....us against the world.

It's gonna be alot of fun....
