The problem with VT and Tyrod Taylor in particular is that when it came down to crunch time, Taylor threw the ball into the ground or into coverage. When Kellen Moore had his chance, he threw a touch pass over the defender for a TD.

Penn St.-Alabama...............Florida St.-Oklahoma................Miami-Ohio St........Michigan-Notre Dame
I never recall a day with so many traditional national powers playing each other this early in the season!!
What a Saturday it's gonna be!! :up
Huh? What planet have you been visiting?
I don't think they'll need to throw the ball much against Notre Dame - just don't make (m)any mistakes (i.e., turn the ball over) and they should win by 10-points. I just don't feel the Irish are very good this year. We shall see. Regardless, after this game I don't see Robinson having to pass under pressure until the Michigan State game. A much larger concern is who will run the offense should Robinson get injured. Certainly not the freshman Gardner...and Forcier is so pouty-faced and not engineered for this offense that I doubt he will be effective.
There are still a lot of question marks on defense which, as history has show, is to atypical of a Michigan football team. They appear to have improved somewhat over the offseason, but should find out this week against Notre Dame. In fact, how their defense performs may be even more important than how their offense performs in South Bend. We shall see...
I wonder how success will be measured this year after 2-years of "lowered-expectations" and whether the Rich Rod experiment is already marked for termination after the end of this season? Anything less than an 8-6 season and he is gone IMO, but will a 9-5 or better record keep him around for another year? While I certainly want the Wolverines to win each and every game, I so cannot stand the RR brand of football being played in Ann Arbor - not to mention the leadership and character issues. Ugh!I think this will determine their record this year in fact.
Notre Dame will pinch it's corners in and force Michigan to throw down field, not every play, but some key plays. How Robinson performs on those plays may very well determine how close the score is going to be.

Thanks...for some reason I though they played 13 regular season games and, heaven help us, the possibility of the RR bowl game.Jim,
They only play 12 regular season games this year.

Friday
West Virginia at Marshall- 7:00pm ET (ESPN)
UTEP at Houston- 10:15pm ET (ESPN)
Thanks for the heads up Bill, I didn't know we had games on Friday.
Well that was so I could root against Salsa... But that leaves you feeling left out so Im not sure what to do now!
It's simple, when one team is from the South and the other team is not, you always root for the Southern team.
That makes two of us!
I was looking at my FiOS program guide and saw the ESPN doubleheader on Friday night............I love it!!! :up
Good point, but man I love watching Salasa flip out. Plus I HATE the canes. I dont like the Seminoles either but was least Bowden tried to run a classy program (even though they had a few incidents) At least bowden stepped up and took care of them. Miami just seems to want to recruit any thug they can find that can play and dont care how they are off the field/.

Glass houses? We all have our faults.
Regardless of what happens on Saturday- this is a non-ACC game- I still like Miami to make a BCS game.
