2010 NCAA Football Season

Pianalto said there was no interference and that he just dropped them in the story I read on yahoo.
Still, LSU did not close that game like they should have. They have some adjustments to do.

If he said that then good for him, Looked like the defender had so much arm around him that he nearly turned Pianalto over but ohh well UNC played a awesome game and statistically speaking UNC out played LSU.

Oh so your saying the computer is flawed? Good thing we have PEOPLE also in the vote to take care of those flaws.

I'm saying the BCS System is flawed as a whole, its time for a playoff - It's time for college football to have scrims in pre-season. These PEOPLE your tossing out are often times voting with whom they think will make good teams to play for a National championship and bring ratings, money, fans to the stadium and so on vs the teams that should be in those spots. Since 2006 this same system has been very very questionable, enough to bring Congress into the discussion.

Next you're going to be talking about how they should be paying these players.

What?? No need to get all worked up over what I'm saying, if it wasn't this big of a issue then Congress wouldn't have gotten involved. I mean what are your intentions with the rolls eye gif and nonsense comments based on what I'm posting? I don't post junk for my own pleasure - I'm just posting what I either see as my own opinion which is allowed or I'm posting facts which is also allowed.

Nice start from Michigan, Denard Robinson, QB had a nice game!!

No sacks allowed, one penalty for 13 yds., no turnovers, and a career day for Denard. So this is what the "spread " is supposed to look like!

I thought UConn was supposed to be a contender in the Big East. If this is one of the Big East's best, well.....

GO BLUE!

If one of the following things happen, a playoff will be instituted shortly, in my opinion:
TCU or Boise State both go undefeated(again) and both miss the title game
Same scenario except one of them goes undefeated, makes the title game over an undefeated automatic conference
USC wins the AP title(although this isn't likely nor is it as big of a factor since they are on probation anyway)

Nope, Utah was undefeated and didn't get into a title game that featured a 1-loss team. Also, Auburn didn't get in in a year of 3 undefeated teams.

The university presidents have final say over whether there is a playoff, and so far they're still saying no.

Nice game for the Maize and Blue.

That is true.

Id be for a playoff, but not a full range of teams playoff.
Id go for a top 4 playoff. After that there really is not a legitimate argument that a team should be national champion anyway, not most years. Of course someone will still bitch, but that will happen no matter what you do. I think doing much beyond that, in a football season format like we have, will cheapen the regular season. Plus it will add too many extra games.

So do that, then let the rest play the regular bowls and be done with it.

TCU and BSU play two meaningful games at most this year. They will continue to fall in the rankings. There isn't a person in the world that can convince me a one loss OSU, UF, ALA or many other SEC/Big Ten/Big Twelve team doesn't deserve it over those two teams.

In the end they don't deserve it because they play lesser competition. Just imagine if Alabama or many other SEC teams could play 2-3 quarters out of 4 because they game is well in hand. They would easily go undefeated from being rested and uninjured.

I just hope congress stays away because in the end there isnt a person who can say over the last 5+ years the team that won the title wasn't the best team. Just look at strength of schedule.

What does this have to do with Congress.
They (some of them) want a playoff (I do to ) ....

I want a full blown 16 game playoff, but thats many years away.
I think a top 8 would do nicely, 4 games nothing to elaborate.

Play the bowl games and take the BSC winners into a mini playoff.

All bowl games should be over with at the end of Jan 1

Auburn didn't get in because there were two other automatic qualifiers that were undefeated. Utah wasn't nearly as high profile as TCU and Boise St are right now.

I'm still not sold on the SEC hype machine. The conference is very strong, don't get me wrong, but the fans might overrated the conference more than big 10 fans do their own(ok, maybe not that much). They beat 4 overrated teams in a row, that's nice, but I want to see them schedule some tough OOC opponents(I've seen LSU and Bama do it the past two years. I'm really looking at UF right now).

UNC should have won that game... LSU defender was holding all over that receiver on the last throw in the end zone!!! Ref's cost UNC that ball game after UNC out played LSU even with 12 men down! Tired of seeing Ref's screw over teams...
You and Brent Muffburger are the only two I've heard be so sure about it. Refs were right there. Replay shows arm around the back of Pianalto, but no way to tell if it was contact. Pianalto said it wasn't. Guess you and Brent have a power of observation the rest of us don't. ;)

Miles and Crowton need to quit taking their foot off the gas when they have a substantial lead. Also, that game was a lose/lose situation for LSU once UNC players were suspended, and Miles knew it. Kick ass and you should have, win in a close one and UNC should've won, lose it and you're done for the season. No one will care that it was the first game against a ranked opponent away from home. Miles should've kept up the intensity. He and the OC's conservative play calling have been hurting LSU for the last couple of years. Combine that with a QB that still looks questionable, and maybe no apparent running game again, and it's gonna be a long, depressing season. If it is, I'm going to jump on the bandwagon to see heads roll at the end of the season. F#*k that sh*t. (Pardon my French).

Do THEY even know what a forward pass is?

Why, Navy has thrown 6 passes in the first half, they are playing MARYLAND.

Maryland has throw 1 pass the whole game and it was incomplete.

So at this rate Maryland is the one that doesn't pass in college football.

By these standards Navy is a passing team. :D
