2010 NCAA Football Season

True, but this is a little different. Boise State is starting out highly ranked, and a big 'road' victory will only reinforce that. After that it's a lot of beatings of lower ranked teams. If Boise wins, there may be no way to unseat them.

There no one saying that if Boise State wins they move up anyways.

If Ohio State and Alabama win, theres no reason to expect BSU to jump them.

You have to base what you've seen from the players abilities thus far, this is nothing different than pre-season hype and rankings IMO and means alot. Both teams played lower teams for sure but both those lower teams looked kinda mirrored imaged to me as I watched both games and saw a considerable difference in at least Special teams and off the ball situations on the Offensive side of each. Miami appears to have a leg up thus far on special teams and offense, OSU may have a leg up on Defense - we will most certainly see next week that's pretty obvious.

It was interesting to watch OSU and Miami mirror scores during the game, it was almost like for like thruout the night.

As for Offense, not sure how you can say after looking at both teams that Miami has a better Offense.

They both scored about the same amount of points.
Marshall would probably beat Florida Atlantic (think thats who it was) by 14 points.

Points isn't something I was looking at, I was looking at how the players were responding to what they were up against. Same thing a coach does when you've gotta find out what to build on in the next practice. I'm pretty sure its going to be one of hell of a game but I just see Miami having the better team right now. Thing's could go either way but I see a very close game up to the end.

If ohio state and bama win, BSU will NOT jump them. I can see BSU GETTING jumped though if some other teams win out.

BSU will likely be below #10 after Monday, they won't get past VT. I don't think you're going to have a undefeated team this year either playing for the National Championship.

what were they thinking?

One of the above teams will win the Big 12 North. This may come as suprise to many, but it will not be Nebraska.:D

Who cares if they win and get a miracle on moving up??? I don't because it still comes down to they play in a horrible conference. So they will continue to slide as teams in 4-15 win because they plan in conferences that matter. BSU will slide to 10 in a few weeks and remain there. However, I don't see them beating VT.

I have no care in the ocean about this game, but I hope for the sake of this forum, that Boise State beats the crap out of VT!

Boise St won't beat the crap out of nobody but themselves on the plane ride home after they get picked apart by VT's Defense and run over by VT's Offense! :up

I never said they did not dominate. I stated that you can't judge what team dominated more as they both played different caliber teams.

Both Ohio State and The U played inferior teams. BOTH teams completely dominated the competition SOUNDLY. So bringing up one should have beaten the othe by more nonsense.

Both games were set up as preseason games.

Yeah, they looked rough today. First game however, and they will still contend.

I dont know I am real worried about this USF game next week. Sure we "should" destroy them, but they did beat FSU last year (I think it was last year) and are certainly no push over (way better then the team we played today)

Who brought up that one should have beaten the other by more? Sure wasn't me.
