2010 NCAA Football Season

Gotta admit, it looked like a scrimmage for a while there last night.

WR's were open most of the time, Pryor threw well, but it's really hard to judge how well he played because the competition was not there.
I'm EXPECTING that the Miami D* will have Cornerbacks closer than 3-5 yards away.

Next weeks game will go a long ways in showing what the Bucks are capable of.

Win or Lose, should be a fun game !

Don't disagree with that at all. My only point is that he stated that Miami dominated the game more than OSU. My response back was they should have. The other thing to remember last night is that OSU pretty much only played their 2nd string offensive line. They did not even have their offensive line starters on the field for much of the game.

I would guess that the 1st team O line played at most, half of the third quarter.
I know the 2's came in in the second quarter ....
btw, I understand why he(Jim) does that, but it sure disrupts the timing of everyone out there.
I HOPE he doesn't do that every week.
It's basically giving away an offensive possession.

After recovering from a skull fracture in which he had to endure holes being drilled into his skull to relive pressure, it was good to see Tyler Moeller back in the field!

In the summer of 2009, he was on vacation with his family, celebrating his grandparents 50th anniversary at bar in Florida. Some punks jumped him and just about beat him to death. The punk is still on trial and I hope he'll be put away for a very, very long time.

At the time, Tyler was told he'd never play football again. Last night, he proved them wrong!!!

Go get 'em Tyler!!!

Miami only played their starting teams for the 1st half....which lead to the 35-0 lead. So YES, they DID dominate them as bad if not more than the score indicated.

These games have similarities to NFL preseason games. The only difference is that the outcome matters, but in games like this the outcome is rarely in doubt. Who dominated more than who, who played what first stringers how long, who opened up their playbook and who didn't. It's just internet fodder.

The only thing that will matter is how the teams do when they actually play each other next week. ;)

Simple solution, just don't lose your games. If you don't go undefeated, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

True, that is simple...but saving that...

An undefeated Boise State team (which is very likely if they beat Va Tech) will have a strong case against an SEC, Big Ten, etc., team with one loss. But with their schedule, Boise State with one loss is out.

That's why the big six conference teams are all depending on Virginia Tech.

Again, don't lose a game. If you do, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Anyway, non-BCS undefeated teams have been leaped over before, just ask Utah. Then again, considering what they did to Alabama, they shouldn't have been. Which brings up the point, if Boise St. does get into the BCS game, who's to say they won't win it anyway?
Nobody thought Utah would bring a butt whipping to Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, but they did.

True, but this is a little different. Boise State is starting out highly ranked, and a big 'road' victory will only reinforce that. After that it's a lot of beatings of lower ranked teams. If Boise wins, there may be no way to unseat them.

Sure there is, win all your games.

Ohio St. got in the championship game against LSU, even though almost everyone agreed UGA had a stronger schedule. But Ohio St. was the only team with a single loss, while LSU & UGA both had 2.

I would have loved the Dawgs to have been in that game, but they had no one to blame but themselves for there extra loss that kept them out of the game.

Yeah most teams fans are pulling for VATech cause they are tired of hearing about all the hype nonsense about Boise St whom don't play any good team - I give them credit for wanting to play VATech to try to prove something, but all picks have put VATech as a underdog and that means the team will be even more fired up. You have a team with perhaps the best Offensive Running backs in all of College football this year not to mention they just decided not to redshirt another that looks even more dynamic and powerful than even the #1 RB VT has this year whom should touch the ball alot on special teams. Boise has NEVER seen a offensive line like this - a QB that can pull the ball down and take off that mirrors the likes of M Vick!! All Bud Foster has to do in this game is put pressure on Kellen, and double team his favorite target which is obviously no secret if you watch a few games from last year. Add to this a fan base from VT of nearly 80,000+ and you've got it in the works to be a magical night for Virginia Tech to not only win but prove to everyone they are a National Title contender!!

GO HOKIES!!

How do Buckeye fans look at the Miami game next week as opposed to the USC games of 2008 and 2009?

Won't be much different IMO, Miami this year looks to be alot more powerful of a team than last years USC team.

If Miami beats Ohio State, I will agree with you. But please don't base ANYTHING on these games that the big boys are playing against incredibly inferior competion. Things will change for both teams next week. Big time.

I never said they did not dominate. I stated that you can't judge what team dominated more as they both played different caliber teams.

Exactly. There is no way to tell off of yesterdays games how either team will perform. Both of them played a cupcake opener so there is nothing to compare to yet.

Honestly I did not watch the Miami game but the OSU game had me a little concerned. They have some work to do this week if they are going to beat Miami.

It feels so odd to be cheering for OSU next weekend, almost like I have a deathly illness :\

You have to base what you've seen from the players abilities thus far, this is nothing different than pre-season hype and rankings IMO and means alot. Both teams played lower teams for sure but both those lower teams looked kinda mirrored imaged to me as I watched both games and saw a considerable difference in at least Special teams and off the ball situations on the Offensive side of each. Miami appears to have a leg up thus far on special teams and offense, OSU may have a leg up on Defense - we will most certainly see next week that's pretty obvious.

also, why the need to say your username after each post??

On another note: Things not going good for Boise St thus far, first your going in without one of last years Cordinators now no RB coach!

BOISE, Idaho -- A Boise State assistant football coach has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and won't make the trip to the Broncos' season opener in the Washington, D.C., area.
According to the Ada County Sheriff's Department, running backs coach Keith Abu Bhonapha was arrested early Friday.
Head coach Chris Petersen said the 30-year-old Bhonapha's arrest was a "personnel matter" and that the team wouldn't comment -- other than to say he wouldn't make the trip.
The third-ranked Broncos plays the No. 10 Virginia Tech Hokies at the Washington Redskins home stadium in Landover, Md., on Monday.
According to the Ada County report, a trooper with the Idaho State Police arrested Bhonapha just before 2 a.m.
Bhonapha played for the University of Hawaii from 1999 to 2002 and was hired by Petersen at Boise State in 2006.
