From what I've read here, he's not the closer he thinks he is, very up and down, hell we had that with Todd Jones he's available :D

I could not agree more. Omar better go to his house and sign him. I don't know if Wagner would've made a difference. He was very shaky. This so depressing.
 
This is bad. Didn't get a lot of offense but if there is a bright side, there's this. See if you agree with me.

We played for a playoff spot on the final game of the season. That's after we lost our closer (Wagner), left fielder (Alou), our early MVP (Church), two of our starters (Pedro and Maine), and our second baseman (Castillo).
I mean it's NO CONSOLATION FOR NOT MAKING A PLAYOFF SPOT but it's the only thing I could think of.

For Visitor, Craig, and myself, this is tough. Actually, it's not but we are used it by now. What else is there to say?
 
One more thing, think about this. If we had blown half of what they did this year, we would be in good shape. All we needed is two lousy games. Two.

I hope we don't end with the Marlins next year.

Being that the Milwaukee Brewers won the Wild card, there are no "Happy Days" for the Mets.

Maybe this is the Cubs year. Good for them if they win it all.
 
Tough loss for Mets fans. There will be other days.

Now enough of that...Congratulations to the Brewers and their fans. Hard fought and well deserved. Miller Park was rocking today and some of the nicest fans in baseball were having a blast! Good luck in the playoffs! :up
