DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - 4/9/2008 1:00pm - 178 changes

He doesn't need a 1000.2 because he doesn't need both 129 and 61.5 at the same time. The 1000 has an "LNB IN" port which is usually used for the 129 LNBFcoax, but can be used instead with the 61.5 coax......
I'll take your word for it.

FWIW when Dish added a wing dish on their own nickel so that I could get Austin HD locals on 61.5, they chose to replace my older Dish 1000 with a brand new Dish 1000.2. And I'm happy they did :) IMHO for those who don't sub to internationals, a Dish 1000.2 (110/119/129) and Dish 500 (61.5) is the most flexible setup during this time of transition.

When giving advice on switching from 129 to 61.5 instead of just adding 61.5, please consider the effect on the subscriber's HD RSN reception. The HD RSNs for the midwest may not get to 61.5 as soon as one would like.

Well I guess the satellite gods have smiled upon me I called Dish this evening to see about a install and they are coming out monday free of charge and stated "free of charge" no mention of $60 or two year commitment so happier days will "SOON" be here on my homefront
