Given how poor they were at one time, this has to be satisfying for HD MM- they didn't lay down and die after the Sabathia trade and those injuries.

actually, i should not be upset; we have a b'pen with 30 blown saves this season and Mets management thinks Minaya deserves an extension when he does nothing for past two years to sure up the b'pen . . . way to go team!

If the Mets had Jerry Manuel as manager from opening day of this season, would they have fared better this year?

Yes and no . . . it's one of those things. Manuel probably would have had a better April and May which would have eliminated the need for today, but again, you never know!
I don't know. I guess we will never know. But who knew the team would play better with Manuel.

I just don't think Minaya saw anyone out there. I didn't see anyone out there either. Hey blame the bullpen. I mean you would think after blowing 30 games, they would finally get it right. I guess not. The bullpen has been ok today. If I was Schoenweis, I wouldn't get on the team bus. He'd better not look to any fans because they won't help him either. First move, GET SCHOENWEIS THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!!!
