Working on beef stew at the moment, it smells delicious!!

Bought a package from Wal Mart marked Carne Asada Sirloin... I assumed it was a steak, but is thin sliced pre-seasoned meat. Cooked on the grill, very tasty!

Cooking a pork shoulder slowly for six hours today.

Breakfast for me, but have a thick Sirloin on the grill right now...

Last night, the Buffet at Treasure Island, not near as good as the Top of the World Wednesday though... Thanks Scott!

The buffet at TI used to be outstanding. I would gain pounds when I stayed there.

What a Burger #1 Meal deal yesterday afternoon / evening...

I think I'm going to make lasagna. However, I have not made lasagna before because I hate it. So now I'm looking up recipes because I'm not sure if I need to cook the lasagna noodles before I assemble it, or if they go in dry and get cooked while it's in the oven. Don't want to mess it up, because HIFI likes lasagna, and this is the first time I'm making it for him in the eight years we've been together.

I know it's little late to pop in but.....

There are lasagna noodles that you don't need to cook first and then there are the rest. I prefer cooking them first. That makes it fail safe.

I didn't cook them first, and I left out the ricotta cheese at HIFI's request. He says it's like cottage cheese to him and he hates cottage cheese. I have to admit, I have a terrible time with anything pasta, because that's all my real mom ever could fix for us. Every other weekend it was Pizza Hut on Friday night, spaghetti on Saturday, and lasagna on Sunday before we went home. I can't stand spaghetti and lasagna. HIFI loves them. Mine turned out pretty good. We won't be having it once a week or anything, but at least I know I can make it and not screw it up.
