Jason Powell is reporting that the Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn main event at Hard Justice will not be taking place. According to sources, Lynn had to pull out of the event at the last minute due to a back injury. TNA officials believed something might have been wrong earlier this week when Lynn missed an indy show, but they didn't find out for sure until yesterday. At this point, TNA hasn't announced the match being canceled. The majority of ECW diehards would probably like to see RVD vs. Sabu in the main event. However, I don't know if Sabu can live up to high expectations at this point in his career. I'd like to see one of the better workers such as Justin Credible or even Rhino to the match.Tough break for Lynn and TNA. I was looking forward to seeing RVD vs. Lynn one more time, and one can only hope that TNA will bring in Lynn once he recovers to give the fans that match. The majority of ECW diehards would probably like to see RVD vs. Sabu in the main event. However, I don't know if Sabu can live up to high expectations at this point in his career. I'd like to see one of the better workers such as Justin Credible or even Rhino to the match. They could always bill the match as a three-way dance between three former ECW Champions. Credible and Rhino may not rank high on the fan wish list for a main event role, but they could help make the match better if Sabu is physically unable to hold up his end of a singles match.
Stay tuned for more breaking updates.

Update on the Hardcore Justice main eventPosted by Corbin Nordhoff on 08/08/2010 at 03:22 AM..Credit: F4WOnline.com
As reported earlier, the TNA Hardcore Justice PPV main event between Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn will not take place as advertised. Lynn sustained a severe injury to either his back or hip while working out at the gym last week. He went to the doctor several times trying to get it fixed but reportedly decided within the past day that there was no way he'd be able to compete. Regarding the replacement main event, company officials are contemplating several ideas and there is talk of having RVD put his championship on the line. With that being said, the company has plans booked several months in advance and thus a title switch tomorrow night is highly unlikely. At this point, the top names to possibly face RVD are Sabu, Too Cold Scorpio, or Kid Kash

Big News: Rob Van Dam’s Opponent for Tonight RevealedPosted by Marc Middleton on August 8, 2010 at 4:22 PM - As noted before, Jerry Lynn had to pull out of his main event match with Rob Van Dam at tonight’s Hardcore Justice pay-per-view. It appears that RVD’s former partner and long-time friend Sabu will be his opponent now. Dixie Carter wrote the following on Twitter just now:“Thx for ur feedback. Just spoke to RVD. Looks like you get ur wish. RVD v Sabu tonight in main event. Lots of great surprises planned too.”Word from backstage at Hardcore Justice is that New Jack is in the building. I have heard that he will be teaming with Mustafa tonight to reform The Gangstas......i would love to see new jack vs abyss in a hardcore match

Good show so far!

I can see a big lawsuit coming out over this one. Lots of ECW talk...

Simon Diamond gained a bunch of weight... Taz suggested that we call him "Triple Diamond Now" and he also suggested that Simon invest in a singlet insead of just the trunks he is wearing.

Mike Tenay was talking about watching ECW on his big ass c band dish in the days of ECW. How cool as thats how I am watching this PPV tonight in HD... on my big ass C Band DISH. :)

Video shown with Tod Gordon, The Pitbull and The Blue Meanie thanking the fans...

I loved the Blue Meanie in the ECW. Blue World Order for ever.

Now Al Snow is talking to head. Funny stuff...

CW Anderson comes out the face Too Cold Scorpio!

Too Cold is one of the most under rated wrestlers of all time. I saw some AMAZING matches at the ECW Arena from this guy... Vince McMahon miss used him as Flash Funk...

Backroom interview with Rob Van Dam and Fonzie! Good to see Fonzie on TV again!! I spent a lot of time with Fonzie and he told me lots of great stories from the road... hes a good guy...

Justin Credible who is going by his real name PJ Polaco tonight.. (And lives not to far from me)

Stevie Richard comes to the ring with the BWO (Nova and "The Blue Chinnie" - A fake Blue Meanie)

Crowd going crazy calling PJ "Just Creadable" the fans really remember ECW and its great.

Stevie wins the match with the Stevie Kick.

PJ graps a cain and hits Stevie. Lights go out and Sandman is in the ring with his own cane. Sandman knocks out PJ.

They then honor the ECW originals who have died.

The music starts we are told this is a 3 way dance and Spike Dudley comes out then Al Snow with head (I was with Al Snow when he found head at the Sports Palace in New Britain CT...) It's cool head still lives today. And Rhyno hits the ring.

All 3 look good. Al is talking to head.

The only one who looks older is Spike Dudley... (Umm I mean Brother Runt) who now has grey hair.

Spike pins Al Snow then Rhyno hits Spike with the gore!

Good entertaining match!

Spike Dudley is taking the most of the punishment... they love using him like a paper airplane.

Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney come out. (Balls is called Kahoneys tonight)

Joel Gertner comes out with Bubba Ray and Devon.

Joel Gertner put on a lot of weight, and as always has a dirty rhyme for us.

Bubba says lets do it old style... South Philly Street fight.

Taz keeps calling Kahonies "Balls" by Mistake...

Out in the crowd now and they actually have Atlas security out there... Good fighting all around the arena.

Here comes the pots and pans...

Balls comes in the ring ith the light saber. Bubba gets a light saber... and they have a saber duel. FUN!

Crowd chanting we want tables and others are yelling we want fire...

And here come the tables!

And FIRE!!!!

And Balls goes through the flaming table for the 123!!

OLD SCHOOL ECW!!!
