Video Game Deals

Was about to post this one. Get the DLC also. It adds a good amount of stuff and only costs $.59.

Done. I've never seen anyone talk about the DLC for this game so I originally passed. I just went back and grabbed it on your recommendation though.

In case you missed out on the Dragon Age sale last week, you can get Dragon Age 1: Ultimate Edition as well as Dragon Age 2 for 12.49 on Amazon. Origin Keys.

Dishonored is $4.99 on Gamefly. DLC is also discounted by 50%. Bigger discount if you are a member, but not much.

The Humble Bundle appears to be doing a new promotion of 14 deals over 14 days. The first one is a repeat of the Deep Silver Package (Dead Island, Saints Row games.) Worth a look especially if you missed out on these games because, maybe you didn't have a good PC until now.. hint hint..

Christ, the deals won't end..

Spec Ops: The Line is on sale for $7.49 on Steam. Also apparently there's a MAC version.

In case you haven't played this game, you REALLY should. Here's a good video describing why it's so great.

I suspect we will already have all the bundles we want from this re-bundle idea but schermann should be all over it. This Deep Silver one is one of my favorite bundles I have ever bought from them. Saints Row 3 and Metro 2033 are winners. I intend to get into the Dead Island games at some point too.

Well they never said that these are ALL going to be rebundles. There's a chance it could be, but we'll see.

Flash Deal: Papers, Please on GOG for $3.99

http://www.gog.com/game/papers_please

I was going to pick this one up but they sold through their sale allotment before I checked it out. Oh well, this is a game I want but it wasn't going to be at the top of my list of games to play anyways. Once a game goes on sale on one website it tends to be on sale at the other sites shortly after too.

3X trade in credit at target. Max 3 per transaction, you get the value on a target GC.

Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy (Say that 3 times fast) is on sale for $1.99. It's a pretty cool little RPG game where you have 30 seconds to complete your quests. Also has a cutting sense of humor. It's one of those games you can EASILY get back into because all the quests are rather separate, as opposed to a game like Final Fantasy or Skyrim where more than a month away and you're completely lost.

Also, BIG PC game sale at Gamestop. Too many to mention, but worth a look. I'm going to pick up a copy of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD for $2.49. Sadly the DLC is not discounted.

Dark Souls is very tempting at $8.99 but I still haven't seen any announcements that GFWL will be patched out. Even with a low price like that I don't want to buy a game that will be shut down before I can play it.

And just like that, they have a response to my concern in time for me to take advantage of this sale. They didn't give a 100% definitive answer that GFWL will be patched out but they said they are working on it. That's good enough for me to buy. I don't think I will start playing until it's patched out though. I remember there being all kinds of issues with game saves when it was patched out of the Arkham games. I think the issue was that the save is tied to your GFWL account and can't be accessed once it's patched out. I would hate to get half way through a hard game like this and then lose my save when it's patched.

BANDAI NAMCO Games is currently seeking avenues to continue support and ensure the functionality of Dark Souls on other services. We will have more news and updates to share on this in the coming months.

Here are some of the games I would buy at the prices listed in this sale. Just a short list of my personal highlights.

http://www.gamestop.com/collection/gamestop-sale

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition - $8.99
Mass Effect Trilogy - $9.89
Bioshock Trilogy - $14.99
Far Cry 3 - $7.49
SimCity - $14.99
Skyrim - $9.99
Dead Space 3 - $4.99
Mirror's Edge - $2.99
Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition $5.99
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD - $2.49

Really there are a lot of good deals here including some I didn't list. I'm not used to seeing prices this good from Gamestop. I hope they do more of this kind of stuff in the future. I ended up buying Tony Hawk and Dark Souls.

PS+ members can get their free copy of Puppeteer for PS3 now. This is one of those games I will gladly try for free but I probably wouldn't have purchased it on my own. It does look interesting.

I tried it last night through the PS Now beta. It seems pretty interesting and enjoyable, but I didn't really understand the story/premise and had a little trouble getting into the gameplay. I probably will try it again later, but I no longer consider it as high of a priority as I did when it was announced as one of the free games this month. On the other hand, I think I'll give Surge Deluxe (Vita), also free starting today, a look sooner than I originally planned. I find I prefer to use my Vita for PSN type games that I can quickly pick up and put down, rather than full retail games with a story I need to try to follow (paying attention to dialogue, which is difficult when I'm watching something on TV and not using headphones while playing).
