Video Game Deals

I have played GTA V. I bought it when it came out on last gen consoles upon release. Wasn't a huge fan of it, but I attributed quite a bit of that to the fact that I had just played Saints Row 3 and I wasn't up for the serious change in tone. Ended up selling it and putting it towards getting Saints Row 4.

Ah yes I keep forgetting it originally came out on x360 and older consoles. I transferred my account to the xb1 and liked it much better. All the online content now is only for current generation consoles.

With the announcement that PC players who own the original versions of the Bioshock games will be getting upgraded to the remastered versions for free, now would be a great time to buy the originals during the Steam sale. Don't wait and buy the remastered collection for $60.

The Bioshock Triple Pack is currently $10.51 in the Steam sale.

If you already have some of the games Bioshock 1 and 2 are currently available separately for $3.99 each and Infinite is available for $7.49 on it's own.

I should point out that you will have to buy the DLC too if you want the remastered version of the DLC content. The popular Minerva's Den DLC from Bioshock 2 is available for $2.99 and you can get a Bioshock Infinite plus season pass bundle for $12.49.

If you want every piece of the Bioshock trilogy's content it adds up to $23.46 during the Steam sale. That is a hell of a lot better than waiting for the remastered collection for $60.

You can get Saints Row 4 Re-Elected, Gat Outta Hell, and Metro Redux (which has 2 Metro Games) for $13.75 via Xbox Live Marketplace. $13.75 for just Saints Row stuff is worth it IMO, and with this you're basically getting 4 games for less than $15 (well maybe 3.5 since Gat Outta Hell is pretty short, but still damn good deal.) If you're looking for a cool original Open World Game along with a different style of FPS, you're likely to find something you like here.

Green Man Gaming is having a Summer sale. Unfortunately I haven't been able to see what any of the deals are yet since their servers are down from the increased load.

Edit: Also, it looks like GMG is going to get rid of their voucher system. Instead you will now just automatically get discounted pricing if you are logged into your account. In theory I like this but I have noticed that a lot of the new pre-order games are 16% off bringing their total down to $50 now. The old promo codes always ranged from 20% to 25% so they aren't quite as good a deal as they used to be. Plus I'm not sure what this means for their old VIP system that often had pre-orders available for $35-$40.

Edit 2: I grabbed XCOM 2: Digital Deluxe Edition for $28.79 at 62% off. This includes the game and season pass. I thought I should point this out because the base game is the exact same price in this sale. I almost grabbed that instead before I decided to check the price on the Deluxe Edition.

Well, if they end up changing it to where VIP members get the same discounts as the old codes then it'll be okay. I still got $37.50 burning a digital hole in my pocket from my Arkham Knight refund. Hopefully we'll get some deals on stuff like Firewatch or Superhot.

The new Humble Bundle features 2K games. Most notably, the $15 tier features Battleborn, some in game currency, and cosmetic skins. More games will be added next week. If I had to guess I would say that Borderlands 1 or 2, XCOM Enemy Unknown, or a Bioshock game will be added.
