Video Game Deals

I wouldn't call it underwhelming. I mean if anything the games are a bit dated, but there are some decent names in there, like Dead Space, Plants Vs Zombies, Battlefield 3, Dragon Age Origins, SimCity 2000, Syndicate, and many others. You got RPGs, FPS, RTS, racing, strategy, and even tower defense games available, so there's been something for nearly everyone so far.

There is a Naughty Dog sale on PSN. Part of me wants to buy the Jak and Daxter collection for $8 on Vita. I remember liking those games as a kid. A quick look at the Amazon reviews says that probably isn't the best idea though. One of the featured reviews claims the games run at 15-20 FPS. It seems like this collection is much better on PS3.

Don't. This video shows it's crap.

The Humble Store is having a sale on Activision games this weekend. Most of the prices are actually pretty terrible. For example Black Ops 1 from 2010 is listed at 50% off. That doesn't seem all that bad until you realize that the standard price for Black Ops 1 is still $40 6 years after release. I'm not sure who wants to pay this sale price of $20 in 2016.

I also noticed that Humble Bundle removed their Weekly Bundle tab a few weeks ago. So far they have still had at least 2 bundles at all times so maybe nothing really changed. I had gotten used to looking for new bundles every other Tuesday and weekly bundles every Thursday.

Even though it's free it might not be worth the hassle of sending in the mail in rebate unless you also plan to buy The Taken King. You can still do the main story missions from the base game and the first raid without it but pretty much all the events require you to own the expansions. I guess, the price of $0 to check out the main story content and see if you even care about trying to do the events is still pretty cool.

I wonder if this is a precursor to the the base game becoming FTP in the near future.

The base game is also on sale for $37.19. The promo code brings this one down $29.76. This means you can basically get the unannounced GOTY edition right now for $53.76.

Edit: I guess I'm going to take a chance and buy Red Dead Redemption for $7.49. It still hasn't officially been announced for backwards compatibility but the fact that it was accidentally playable for a while makes me think it will happen soon.

Yeah I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that that's going to be BC soon, and I also bet you're not the only one thinking that way and this will sell quite well this time around.

Now that I bought it, they will probably announce it as one of free Games with Gold for April. You're welcome everyone.

No a bigger F U would be to make Alan Wake free to piss off all the Quantum Break preorder people, but to make it really hurt they should do that in May. ;p
